She’s draped in the radiance, wearing it as camouflage. A prototype: lithe, oblique, next-gen fatale. Your last faith in humanity and the only soul you can trust. After the War Against Machines, factions of the Cult remain. Dismantling what little technological trust mankind retains. The black church is where they recruit their fanatics. Destroy them. A futile mission. A deadly trap. A four year descent into a sinuous labyrinth with no escape. ----------------- Continuing in the same story thread as previous works, Perturbator's fourth album "The Uncanny Valley" takes place 24 years after the finale of "Dangerous Days." Focus shifts from the world of Nocturne City into the future alleys of Tokyo, after the conclusion of the War Against Machines. This story is your story - you are the motorcycle helmet-clad vigilante known as the Night Driving Avenger. Your narrative intertwines with a female android/assassin, fighting for liberty and equality in a cynical world that attempts to eradicate all traces of the machines. Together, you attempt to dismantle an underground faction who spreads their message of hate through a false religion - its recruiting station is the black church that hovers over the city. ----------------- Fourth Perturbator's album keeps ups to its hype and doesn't fail to satisfy the expectations set by the previous albums, not diverging from the genre. The sound features renewed retro 80s synth music combined with modern elements of electronic music. Some of the songs are of harder nature, while other songs give the listener time to rest with nostalgic synth accompanied by female vocals.
