In my opinion, he’s better than most country singers. I started to like country though Aaron’s music, never liked country before.

I feel like Aaron is forcing things that don’t need to be. In songs and interviews he always talks about being who he is and not someone he isn’t. Then why the fake southern drawl/accent? Just be you and sing the songs! Out of his 3 solo albums this is my least favorite.

I was listening to some music on iTunes a few years ago the voice was familiar,realized he was the singer from staind have purchased everything from Aaron,this is real Country music doesn't get any better than this!!

Do NOT let all these one star reviews get to you. They’re a bunch of butthurt rock fans that can’t accept change. This is going to be a great album. Aaron is releasing great, REAL, country music. I’m very excited for this album, I know plenty of others are excited as well. This is a highly anticipated album and I’m excited to hear the rest of his work!

I understand this isn’t supposed to sound like staind. It’s the same singer doing (bad) country music. Had the music been good, I’d like it regardless of genre. This isn’t very good.

This is a different spin and a different aaron lewis but still great. Puts you in a certain mood.

Aaron Lewis has brought country music back. You can’t compare his current music to Staind. It’s two very different style of music. If you like real country music Aaron’s the way to go. I’ve loved every LP he’s done. His voice is perfect, his songs tells a story, and life isn’t always filled with puppies and rainbows.

Here’s the deal. I love all kinds of music. Literally. Huge rock fan. Huge country fan. And I enjoy some pop and hip hop as well. That said, I’m also a huge Staind fan. Or was anyways. I just find it all a bit silly Aaron Lewis decides all of a sudden to try to have a country accent. It doesn’t work that way. lol I can appreciate the effort I guess? But it’s not genuine at all.

A true American patriot who can make country music great again!

I know Aaron is doing what he wants, and Staind is probably never coming back (at least we have Saint Asonia coming out with new material this year as well) and I applaud him for that, I also agree with most everything he actualy says and believes, and the music he creates in country has its moments, but most of the time just doesn't cut it for me. Based on the singes, State I'm In and Keeps on Giving are duds with a little bit o' twang and a little bit o' southern accent, but The Bottom kind of works for me. His accent bothers me (which is why I can't bring myself to list to Sinner) and that helps with this song, but it's also slow and more of a beautifel "take it in" piece, which I can enjoy from all genres, however I can really only appreciate a feel good song from Metal, which is why Staind is easily my favorite band.

Aaron was great with Staind. I loved their music. This just kills me that he abandoned his rock roots. Stop with the country crap and go back to your band.

A lot of seriously uneducated folks throwing down one star reviews just to let the world know they wish Aaron would make another Staind record. Google what everybody in Staind is up to these days and why Aaron is doing what he’s doing. Seriously... it’s not that hard. Love the cover of “The Bottom” and “Keeps on Workin” is another solid dig at all the pop acts out there posing as country musicians. I still listen to “That Ain’t Country” all the time. From a Staind fan here speaking, I enjoy whatever Aaron has been putting out. He still knows how to rage and exactly how to dive into your mind and soul.

I fell down the stairs with my guitar and wrote a racist, Aaron Lewis song.

The contrast between the two released songs has me confused. Whats with the weird twang accent m, then his true voice in the last song. I dont need staind songs, but i am confused by the mainstream country touch ups to his voice and sound. But make no mistake this guy can write a good song and sing. Just seems hit or miss these days.

i was listening to aaron and andrew on sirius radio...when they played one his new songs. it brought tears becuase i stopped listening to country radio since the middle 90's. this is the country i remember listening to as a kid its pure and truthful. new country artists dont even live what they sing about its the same crap you find on a pop station.

It's astounding that everyone giving this album a 1-star are Staind fans expecting this to be Staind music and mad at Aaron that he doesn't do Staind anymore. He's an artist. He's doing what he wants to do. Some people calling him a sellout because he's doing country now and country is popular. If he was a sellout he'd be doing more boring Staind music to appease the fans. Aaron is doing what Aaron wants to do, not what you want him to do. If you were supportive of him you'd understand that; but you're not.

You might as well do a family auto mark commercial with that fake accent.
