New and different yet sounds like all the other albums (Catastrophist) I have high hopes and optimism about this album. Been a Trivium fan since middle school and still a fan to this day and have never been dissapointed. You guys are awesome!!!

I hate to rate an album before it's released but I'm such a Trivium fan from the start that I cannot resist. I loved TSATS, this is on par or potentially even better...first three songs are great; this band continues to find ways to display their incredible instrumental talent and Matt never disappoints..cannot wait until the 24th, thank you Trivium!

I preordered the album a good couple of weeks ago with a lot of excitement to listen to the album, but when I got up this morning to listen to it all, it’s saying I have to buy the album all over again. Like no I’m not going to buy it again when I preordered it. The full 7 dollars for preorder was taken out of my account too.

After hearing the first four songs of this album, I am sold. I own every work that these guys have done and have been with them through all of the drummer changes. Alex is phenomenal and it seems that they’ve finally found their man. The kid is pure fire on TSATS and now WTDMS. Impressive.

Tops “sin and the sentence” Bent is a beast on the drums, I hear thrash, prog, old school heaviness and very melodic all at once.

Awesome and keep up the good work... Until another next album!

a definite improvement from the last 2 albums i can actually listen to this full album without cringing and turning it off . with understanding of evolving and matt’s necessary vocal needs i like this album .

Overall a good song but they missed a few opportunities for a filthy breakdown. Especially at 2:55

It’s Trivium. Absolutely banger of an album.

Love the single home the rest is a bit heavier but I never herd a trivium cd that wasn’t great

This album for me is as good as Ascendancy, Shogun and In Waves. The four songs are “IX” are all great. I also liked the last song of the album

Writing before full release so may be wrong, but the first two singles are BOMB and hope they set the stage for the rest of the tracks🙏! Last few albums are tied in with an element. TSATS: Fire, SITS: Snøw & In Waves: Water. This is their Earth Album! It almost wreaks of decay in their music vids (in a good way) and I’m ready to breath in the rest🔥🔥🔥!!!

They've worked so hard keeping up with practice and putting this together. They do it for their fans. They don't do it for fame or glory. They do it because they love music and the community. Always a treat to hear new songs; the technical prowess is unbelievable. Songs are catchy and not one of them is bad. Every band member shines in particular songs. Alex' challenging beats make a grown man cry in Sickness Unto You. Paolo's bass blows my mind in Bleed Into Me. And geez, Heafy. Could you get a sexier voice singing? Why yes you can. Wow, dude. Vau. Catastrophist still a favorite but all Trivium songs are my favorite. Happy to be a part of the journey. There's screaming, clean, fun changes, and some classic moves. The Defiant brings back some nostalgia, Scattering the Ashes is a new favorite amongst fans, and the last song you can practically sprint to. A new workout album for fit people? Just get it. Get the album. Don't listen to the flakes who post less than 5 stars.

Meh. Reminds me of Silence in the Snow: musically solid but the sterile uninteresting singing made it sound like any other 80-90’s pop metal production. This sounds along the same vein. The song isn’t bad, just not good and Trivium is capable of much more. Fact is their metal lacks punch without the growls, which are like their own musical instrument and add brutality. Hope the rest of the album sounds better than this. We’ll see

If this song is an indication of the sound of the whole album, fans are in for a treat!!

While I wish Matt was screaming more (and I bet others wish this too), we need to understand that in Trivium’s older albums he was screaming with a bad technique. So if he kept doing that then he would completely ruin his voice. I’m glad he’s playing it safe, and even giving us screams at all in this album. 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

Like most bands now this one has a fan base full of crybaby 40 year old elitists that go off of one or two songs from the album. “Go back to shogun” they say. “Why did you sell out” they also say. It’s so expected and boring almost makes me ashamed to be apart of the fan base/metal community. Move on and find something you don’t like instead of dragging talent down your own little pathetic close minded hate filled rabbit hole. I support any band/genre or artist that creates their own version of art even if it’s outside of the box. Going against the grain is how you find gold. And so far this sounds like good already.

Even if most complain about the band not return to their roots, this is a very solid album with many song that could be singles. I love the messages and meaning behind each song.

So hyped for the rest of the album. First three tracks are all fire.

A mix of old and new trivium

I’ve been listening to Trivium since Embers, back when I was in high school. Like many older fans, I didn’t love the Silence in the Snow phase, I respected it though as a creative change. Sin and the Sentence was a breath of fresh air to me and ended up being played on repeat. What the Dead Men Say takes everything I enjoyed on Sin and Sentence, and just makes it better. This is peak Trivium, it’s Trivium at their best. Matt’s vocals are outstanding, the guitar work and bass lines are amazing and Alex on drums has been great for this band. This is going to be playing on my headphones for a very long time

After hearing the first two songs, I can’t wait to hear the rest! Sounds like it will be heavier than TSATS

I just got into Trivium by starting to listen to TSATS and let me just say I WAS HOOKED. This band is so awesome. I am a little late to the fan base but I’m just 16 and I’ve only been listening to metal for about a year and a half lol.
