A lot people say it sounds the same. Well obviously they have no idea what music is. It does not sound the same, the beats and tempos are different as well as the structure of the songs.

can’t believe people actually like this garbage of a bad album or this group. Save your money for an album that’s worth getting. It seams like ALL! Their Eps and albums are repeat songs even with the “live” albums (standard/special edition) the same set list over and over and over and over and over and over again (see it gets old) just different packaging. all I can say is change it up. And while at it make Better music. Cause the songs really do.... well let’s say they are awful. besides thankfully I have better music taste then this garbage of so called music I wouldn’t waste my money on this group.

For an 8 track album it’s amazing. People complain 8 songs isn’t an album when artists put out 2 songs and call that an EP music is different in all countries. Blackpink extends past those standards most music industries do and goes past it. They excel at performance and put their heart and soul into Everything they do.

worst album in history

Musically, this album is fantastic. I think the girls really put something together here worthy of listening. What I will say about this album which didn’t go well is the photo shoot. YG could’ve given them something way more impressive especially for a full album. There was so much wasted space in these albums, but whatever. I’m not disappointed with the cd itself and I love all of Lisa’s parts so much. I’m happy with it.

BLACKPINK fan for about two years now and I didn’t want ice cream because they speak a lot of English I love the Korean version and the Japanese version since I really want to move to Japan someday your songs are great and I absolutely love them you’re kind a got to stop hating because they’re really good but if you don’t like them then you don’t have to listen only complaint that I have and why didn’t give them five stars is because they need more Japanese versions of the songsThat’s my only complaint keep Goin BLACKPINK

ive been a blink for a long time and i’m glad the girls r trying new genres n stuff, but i miss the debut blackpink. their songs were different and original, like they knew what they were doing(personally my favorite song from them is as if its yr last) but ice cream is terrible. i love teddy and the girls sm, but i feel like theyve been lacking lately?? how you like that has been their best recent song, and i also feel like all the songs have the same messages behind them, but otherwise i luv blackpink v much and i hope they make more music❤️ I FORGOT TO ADD THAT LISA SHOULD SING MORE KOREAN VERSES BC SHE HAS THE TALENT!!!

I love it I DONT know people how people can not love it

I loved everything about this album. My favorite thing about the album is that some of the songs stayed true to BP’s original sound while also giving us a new style and preparing us for what’s to come in the future. “Pretty Savage”, “Crazy Over You”, “Love to Hate Me” and “You Never Know” really took me by surprise. They were very different from what you usually hear from BP and I love that half the album had songs all in English which shows international fans that they are aware of the impact their music has globally. “Love to Hate Me” is my absolute favorite song on the album. My only note is that Lisa gets to sing more on future projects, other than that I was impressed.

A GREAT first project. It’s sad that YGE just now let them have their Album. They are too talented and influential to be wasting precious time.

I’ve been an on and off Blink since 2017, and I was hardcore, let me tell you. Those early songs were so amazing, I was beyond excited for the potential of this group and the ride that I’d be on with them as a fan. As time went by, I didn’t understand why there was so little music, and I began to lose internet. By the time Square Up came out, I was desperately ready for it, and it was worth the wait. Since then, a full album has been desired greatly, and finally, here we are. I was a bit surprised that 8 songs can be considered a full album, but hey, who am I to complain. I was just excited to have some new music. So first, How You Like That: When it first came out, I thought it had, without a doubt, the weirdest chorus instrumental I’d ever heard, but it grew on me, even if I still am confused by it. Personally, I didn’t like the lyrics of it at all apart from Lisa’s verse, but the fact that they used the Phrygian dominant scale really appealed to me, so it was still enjoyable. The mv was beautiful. Ice Cream: Oh man. I LOVE their pink concepts. As If It’s Your Last is one of my absolute faves. But this does not hit the mark. The lyrics are ridiculous and the melody is questionable. It could have been really good if it had been changed up a bit. Still had a cute mv, though. Pretty Savage: This is my favorite song on the album, perhaps tied with You Never Know. The lyrics are subpar and almost annoying at times, but the musical aspect of it is enough to make up for it. The flow of the verses is great and it’s very catchy. Definitely makes you want to dance. Bet You Wanna: This song could be ditched and the whole album would benefit from it. Feels like a trashy attempt at something that would trend, but it missed the mark. Such a wasted opportunity to have a big name like Cardi B on this track. Lovesick Girls: I didn’t like this at first. Ha! Silly me. This is one of their best songs, I think. The lyrics are regrettably very generic at time, apart from the chorus, which I love, but the sound of the instrumental and the melody are beautiful and unique. This is the “something different” that a lot of Blinks have asked for. It sounds like a purple evening sky. Love it. Crazy Over You: Another great one. The lyrics are once again, subpar, but this is a really solid track. Very fun and chill. Loving the dance vibe. The ending part is a bit cringy honestly, but I like it in general. Love To Hate Me: This is a great song considering the fact that Blackpink has such an unusually huge hate train. It’s somewhat understandable due to YG’s terrible handling of the group, but why the hate has been directed at the girls instead of YG is beyond me. Needless to say, great song, both musically and lyrically. You Never Know: Might be my favorite. It’s beautiful and unusual for this group. Also seems like a possible response to their hate train. A nice reminder that at the end of the day: they are humans, as we all are. I specifically thought of how the whole Lazy Jennie thing trended a while ago, and then recently she said she’s been very injured during that time. You never know. Overall, I was somewhat please with some of these songs, but it doesn’t have that “early Blackpink” vibe that I loved so much. They seem like a different group now. Which is fine, but it doesn’t draw me in the same way. Oh well. I hope the girls are happy that they have more songs to perform now and I hope their career continues to flourish the more effort they put into their performances and music.

For me, I LOVED this album. Albums like these are hard to skip through, since all the songs sounds like title tracks. If your getting into loop, or a mainstream, pop, rock, or contemporary listener I think you’ll like this. I don’t get how people say that all the songs sound the same when sound wise sounds different and the structures are different 🙄. This is their first full album, I hate YG because the girls can obviously make their own songs but I’m happy with this. Stay mad haters.

My favorite track is ‘Love To Hate Me’ I think the lyrics are so well put together and the song is just amazing! The vocal range and the girls English is just breath taking! BlackPink is the Revolution and I believe this album gave us blinks what they promised. We love the BlackPink sound, it’s new, it’s fresh. I love my girls Jisoo, Rosé, Jennie, and Lisa. Great songs! This is going to be one of the many successes these girls are going to have. Very satisfied.

Horrible

First off, this album isn’t even an album, it just has 8 repetitive songs about love and hate. They sounded like every other teenage girl who’s been in a relationship for 2 months and dumped. No flavor, No talent, and lastly No creativity. This was the group I was recommended when I wanted start listening to Kpop and whew these girls are a big let down. Other groups i’ve listened to like BTS, Twice, Exo, & Itzy all have catchy creative music with different rhythms, beats, lyrics, and all that but Blackpink? Yeah definitely not listening to their music again. I was told they had a whole year to prepare and this is what they came up with?... It just ended in disappointment. This is definitely not album of the year nor is hylt song of the year. Technically it’s a trash overhyped album. (Don’t waste your money on this)
