For the people saying this is waste of people’s money I don’t think you understand the importance of this very album not only to Taylor but to her fans. We finally get to listen to the beautiful Fearless that Taylor took the time to make and now gets to own. I would buy this album over and over again because Taylor deserves it. It feels relieving as a fan to enjoy her art as her art now!!!!

I initially wasn't sure about purchasing songs I already owned, but a few weeks later I figured, "Eh, why not?" I'm glad I made that choice. The songs have a different take to be heard years later -- both as a listener and to hear the artist express the songs (points in which our experiences change our musical perceptions). While I enjoyed the original versions, the new versions are just as emotionally-invoking. It's almost like hearing the songs but in hindsight -- with different inflictions placed upon the words to draw out newer feelings. In terms of the price of the album, I thought of it as being equivalent to the price of having a coffee outting with a good friend. In this case, music from my youth. Hopefully this helps you decide on whether to have a coffee outting with an old friend or not :)

Fearless Taylors Version is a great addition to any swiftie collection. All original songs, the original 6 bonus, and 6 from the vault. And when I say from the vault, what taylor means is you can’t find these songs online, or from a secret swiftie, she wrote them in 2008, for whatever reasons they didn’t make the album, they fit seamlessly in 2021, also thanks to her on going collaboration with Aaron Dessner. The from the vault songs could stand alone in 2021, just proving once again that swift always keeps her fans entertained with who done it games, is a lyrical, musical, general genius. You don’t have to buy it. Just go on YouTube and you can listen to it. Taylor isn’t doing this for money she is doing it for herself because she wants to own her work and I don’t blame her. If Scooter was doing it as a favor that would be ok but he isn’t. If you created artwork you would want to own it too.

I had no plans to buy any of her re-recordings because I imagined the originals are better, in terms of quality and authenticity. I just planned on buying the vault songs on "Fearless (Taylor's version)" but guess what, I bought the whole album after listening to several re-recorded Fearless originals on Taylor's youtube channel. I was pleasantly surprised that I like her singing style and talent more this time around. Is she actually singing better and isn't her vocie more developed? I love this album re-recorded and the vault songs are great! I think I have unconscious bias that the vault songs weren't good enough for the original Fearless but I could be wrong. Nonetheless, the production is excellent and I like the instrumentals slightly more too. I can't wait to hear how she does other albums 1-6.

She broke the rule stating that she had to re-record in order of release and she didn’t. If she knows all about this stuff also that means she has had contact with Scooter for a long time and lied to you all! She even removed this comment from the iTunes reviews. Even after listening to re-recordings she can’t hit some notes like in love story. If you really are a fan of her buy the original or platinum edition. She still makes money each month off them on her contract!

I understand Taylor wanting to own her music, but her story doesn’t make any sense. She’s a huge artist now, but back when she signed her contract, nobody knew who she was. Her label took a chance on her and spent millions of dollars not only hiring producers, engineers, songwriters (and yes, songwriters. Taylor is talented, but she doesn’t write all of her songs herself) but also distributing it, promoting it and managing her amongst a lot of other things she never had to pay for herself to become who she is today. It’s easy for her to say that artists should own their own music, but most artists record labels sign doesn’t make it very far and the record label is the ones who end up taking the loss for it, not the artist. That’s why artists work with record labels. Would you hand over millions of dollars to someone you didn't know so they could make their album, not knowing if it would work out? She wouldn’t have made it very far without a record label taking a chance on her and supporting her at the beginning of her career. She signed over the rights to her songs in exchange for the money and support of a record label which is a fair deal most artists sign if they even get that lucky to have an opportunity like that. She also claimed she didn’t know about her masters being sold until it was publicly announced to everyone else, but her dad literally owned part of the record label that signed her. Do you really think her father would have let her sign a bad deal and then not tell her that her masters was being sold? She conveniently left that part out of her story. I would understand if she not only put up the money herself, but also produced it and everything else it takes to make an album, but she didn’t. A lot of people helped her to get where she’s at in her career, but now that she’s made it, none of those people matter and it’s not enough. She’s one of the biggest entertainers in the world worth 350 million dollars and she says she was taken advantage of by the people that helped her early on. And her claims that scooter bullied her and tried to dismantle her career seems a bit fake as well. She never said how he bullied her or what he did to try and ruin her career. She was very vague about that entire story, but I guess she didn’t have to come up with the details since she knows her fans will believe anything she says without proof. She has spoken up many times in detail in the past when someone did her wrong and even rightfully sued someone, so why not with scooter? If her allegations were true, she could easily sue him and the record label. I think she just needed a story to make people feel bad for her so her die hard fans would have a reason to want to buy her old music again. It just seems like an attention seeking money grab to me which is a shame because I never thought of her as a gimmicky artist before all of this drama with her masters happened. By the way, the last two times I tried to post this review, it was removed. I guess that’s why her music is rated high on iTunes.
