Release Me 2 is a 2021 compilation album of rare and previously unreleased tracks by American singer Barbra Streisand. Released on August 6 in CD, vinyl, and digital formats, it serves as a follow-up to her 2012 compilation Release Me. The lead single "I'd Want It to Be You", a duet with Willie Nelson, was released June 4, 2021. Copies of the album sold by Target will include an exclusive bonus track: "When the Lovin' Goes Out of the Lovin'" by Richard Parker and Bobby Whiteside, from the 1984 recording sessions for Emotion. Release Me 2 contains tracks recorded between 1962 and 2014, with additional production work in 2020. Streisand announced the album on June 4, along with the first single: "I'd Want It To Be You", a duet with Willie Nelson. The second single "Rainbow Connection" with Kermit the Frog was released June 25. A third single "Sweet Forgiveness" was released July 1, after premiering on the British program The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show.
