God's Son is a powerful ablum with a mix of different kinds of lyrics (from somethin' to get you noddin' your head - Made You Look, somethin' that'll inspire you - I Can, or even somethin' that'll put you in deep thought - Heaven) in my opinion. This is one of my favorite albums and even though it came out 7 years ago I'll still blast it like it was Dec. 13 again. 5/5 stars

nas has grown from nasty to gods son on this one. just listen to 'last real n***ga alive' to get an understanding of where this album is coming from and the level of emotion nas has put out there. he comes off quite vulnerable at times, fierce at others. you just dont hear many other rappers making a song like 'get down', telling an entire story with nonstop rhymes that flow like water off the razor under his tongue. also check out 'book of rhymes', an Alchemist produced track that portrays nas rapping pages out of his rhyme book trying to find that perfect match. anyone who is involved with the creation of rap music has done this before and its simply amazing to hear someone at nas' level of success doing the same and turning it into an incredible concept song.

One of my favorite albums of all time, he miixes meaningfull lyrics with a sick flow. U never c that anymmore. Check out i can, heaven,thugz mansion. As a matter a' fact just buy the whole album!

this album is a legit, true hip hop album that you will listen to because the flow is amazing and the lyrics are that of a poet. you can bump songs like made you look or you can just chill and vibe with songs like book of rhymes or thugz mansion. this album is legit. matisyahu s.u.c.k.s. out loud. game is good but i think game should be considered under gangsta rap not true hip hop. even so game has a long way to become a legend like nas is. nas is ill probobly the best rapper out there when looking back at his whole track record of his previous work. buy this album and definatly buy illmatic. theres only 10 songs but all of those are classic. buy this and any other nas cd, you wont be disappointed with any of your choices.

Every song is the truth. Revolutionary Warfare, Mastermind, The Cross, Book of Rhymes etc.. If you are a real fan of hip hop you need to cop this.

Probably my favorite Nas album, a must have, If you appreciate music from Nas just get the whole album, listen from start to finish. Don't look at the song Popularity chart, this album is highly under-rated.

God's Son is definitely not Nas' best album, but it is still a quality album. One flaw with Gods Son is that the album drops as a whole after Thugz Mansion. Although the last 5 tracks are good, they clearly drop off from the first 9 tracks, except Zone Out, which is the only Nas song I ever completely despised. If God Son didnt drop off after Thugz Mansion, it would be a definite classic. However, you should still buy the whole thing. There are very good tracks like The Cross, Made You Look, Last Real N***a Alive, Hey Nas, and Book of Rhymes. There are also 3 tracks that belong in Nas' greatest hits (which should be like 4 discs) they are Get Down, I Can, and Thugz Mansion. Once again, the last few tracks arent bad they are just clearly not as good as the other tracks.

Why is this 3 and a half seriously, are you all forgeting who Nas is? Trust me the money is worth it every penny of it. He never fell off never unlike some artists like Jay-z, 50 cent & sadly the the best rapper of all time 2pac Shakur with pac's life. Do yourself a favor buy this

NaS is at his best on this album. The highlights of this album was "The Cross," "Book of Rhymes", Last real N**** Alive and the lead single Made You Look.
