I already had heard “This Is A Song For Miss Hedy Lamarr “, which is why I purchased the album…..but the other song that is on the album, “Venus In Furs” is absolutely amazing. Johnny’s voice is so deep and sultry, what an amazing song……just wow. Can’t wait for the entire album. So happy that I purchased it. 👍👍👍

A whole two generations are too young to remember that Jeff Beck, along with Eric Clapton, made up half of The Yardbirds. Beck is the “ other Clapton.” His guitar skills are as masterful as Clapton’s. So far, these early releases have seriously appropriate space for guitar solos. Johnny Depp could always sing. Nobody really knew it until the movie Sweeney Todd came out. And then we got a huge taste of rock opera-esque Broadway music. Can Johnny sing rock music? Yep! Does he need to do more for me to put that 5th star up there? Yep! But so far, it’s a well put together project. Hopefully the rest of it is the same or better. “This Is A Song For Miss Hedy Lamarr” is poetry set to music. I’m not totally convinced that it was written to be a song. But setting it to music was a damned good idea. Hedy wasn’t just a pretty face and starlet. She also worked on the technology that brought us things like GPS. She was a pretty BRAIN too. I think Johnny wrote it for that reason. This album will do well when it all drops on the 15th. I wish Apple would show some of the pre-sale stats. My guess is that the pre-sales are enormous. I even think it’ll debut at #1 iTunes.

This album will become politicized. All I’m going to say is give it a listen. You can tell he’s putting his heart out there, it’s up to you whether or not you’ll entertain the message and story.

I was pleasantly surprised when I first listened to this…. The collaboration is a perfect blend of their individual sounds and I love it!! Music is life and my taste is super eclectic….. This album is beyond amazing! The guitars get deep into your soul. Every note is full of feeling. This is my first time listening to Jeff Beck. His guitar playing is so beyond!! The drums are divine! Johnny Depp vocals are so special, distinctive and full of Emotion. I purchased the Cd, purchased downloads on ITunes and now have the premium account on Spotify, just for this album. I want to help support the beautiful art of Jeff Beck and Johnny Depp. Every song hit deep down into my soul! Some songs I danced to, some I sang to and others I cried from the deep emotional power of this album. Don’t hesitate to support and purchase this music. It’s gorgeous!!

Johnny's better when he's rockin'....so far this is a middle of the road snooze fest. I know Jeff Beck is on here too but he's not doing enough to distinguish himself. Hopefully the rest of it isn't as dull and indifferent as this. I get it,people dig Johnny...it just donesn't make this good.

Johnny wrote the lyrics to “Hedy Lamarr”, and he did not disappoint! His lyrics are so poetic, haunting and beautiful. And his voice, in this song, was also beautiful and full of emotion. It’s very reminiscent of John Lennon.

I had no idea all these years that Johnny could sing like that! Of course Jeff has amazing talent with his guitar! Johnny really showed a new side and it’s amazing.

The vocals, instrumentation, and overall arrangements are fantastic! Johnny brings his best vocal performance yet with songs that really emphasize the suave smoothness of his timbre. And of course, you can’t ignore the lyrics that somehow make each rock track sound like a ballad — profound and poetic.

It has been a long time since I have listened to NEW guitar that sounds this great! Jeff Beck isxa legend. Heddy Lamar should be a hit, bwritten by JD. I think half of the USA already kniw the words.

The best part about this album so far is the different styles of music. Hedy Lamarr is the end of the Beatles era/early John Lennon. Isolation is obviously early Lennon. Venus in Furs is 100% Marilyn Manson. Can’t wait to hear the rest of the album. I haven’t bought an album in probably 10 years. This album is culturally significant and will be a cult classic in 25 years.

The album is a true masterpiece with so many incredible sounds to unpack from Johnny’s melodic, deep and soulful vocals to Jeff’s singing and sharp guitar tones. Very impressed. The song Stars (Janis Ian cover) is heartfelt and moving. It’s very “Johnny” in terms of the life he’s lived as a famous person. Venus in Furs is dark and sexy. Ooo Baby Baby (Smokey Robinson and the Miracles cover) blew my mind!! I never knew Johnny could reach a vocal range that high! I’m incredibly impressed! There are SO many great songs on here. Two originals written by Johnny, a few instrumentals and the rest cover songs. It’s an awesome listen. ❤️🔥🙌
