Can you people read ? It says live version and from what I remember it was bleeped on that album too. Who needs to hear it anyway. Everybody already knows what he says when bleep. Do you really need to hear it?

itunes did not censor this album. We own this on cd and it is also censored, thats the way it was recorded from when they were more careful about what people said. It is still a good album though, Johnny Cash is one of my favorite artists.

Yes this album is censored but as Johnny Cash got older he did not use curse words and would not sing the expletives anymore. So if you need that in the songs don't buy the album but this is the way he would be singing them if he were still with us.

I was looking thru th comments. I couldn't help but notice. That people were upset about some censorship. Now I just wanna say that I think you all are horribly mistakin. Because johhny ment everything he sang about. And what said in the uncensored songs is the same as these .I personally love them all now. One of the most influential singers of the last century. Though others today are far popular, it is my belief they can not be compared to the legacy he left us.

Don't get too hung up on the censorship on "Boy Named Sue". The BEEP is so old school it almost adds to the feel of the song. This is an incredible selection of some of the greatest songs in country and rock history. If you're new to Johnny, this is the best $17 you can spend.

Yes I didn't read about the censorship part also and will more picker when buying from iTunes again. Also I learned how to load my own CDs on to my iphone and Mac computer and that is where I going first from now on before I waste good hard earned monies here again.

I just realized that a lot of the songs that we cant find are in the American I,II,III,IV,V such as I won't back down, ain't no grave etc, just got to do a little searhing

You can't call an album (live) when you censor peices of the song and if your smart enough to know what your buying you'll know there's cussing in the song in the 1st places it's not on the radio so leave it alone censored version= stupid!

I was wondering why "I won't back Down" isn't on any of the albums?

I purchased "A Boy Named Sue" to add to a video I'm making and I didn't realize it was a censored version of the song. Completely worthless purchase. Is S.O.B. really all that bad? Maybe it is. iTunes should mark this album as Explicit as there's no way to know that this album has been censored.

While is doesn't have anything from the American recordings, but there are enough classics for great enjoyment. Love u n miss ya Johnny!

You censor John Cash’s music? With so many other songs in iTunes library that drop the F bomb every other word and you censor Johnny Cash. Unbelievable !!!

this is stupid, Cash is arguably the most well known singer of all time he shouldnt be cencered But this a great album and it would cost close to 50 to get all of these on the other albums of Cash, its a steal even though it is cencered

It's a great album with his best songs. Why is everyone crying about a few words that aren't there? It's about his music and the passion he put into it. I agree with Charliebos1234, no reason to dislike it cause one swear word isn't there.
