I just love Rod Stewart. He's like a good wine and only gets better with age. His voice and the arragements are fantastic. This is a great selection to add to any music library.

That man can take any song and make it great!! Seen him twice in concert. Watching the Today Show right now with him on it. Went to Itunes and bought it.

Rod could sing the yellow pages of the phone book and it would be great. And as others commented, once you see him in concert, you can imagine watching him sing ANY song. It's too bad that they stopped his kicking soccer balls into the audience (liability issues). Man he could hit the upper seats in a stadium! Great album! Rainy Night in Georgia is the best!

...that there is nothing new Rod is offering. Airbrushed photo from past. Overproduced, diluted, diminished versions of classic songs (similarly airbrushed). While many of Tony Bennett's duets display genuine inspiration, the "duet" is often signal an artist is running on fumes. Rod has three duets on this album. There are some signs he doesn't even have any fumes left. This is musical equivalent of Viagra. He should go the Johnny Cash route- show how age has weathered him, not doing a bad parody of himself. There are so many genuine talents who haven't yet creatively peaked and do not have recording contracts. It makes me sad how many people purchased and find this music somehow rewarding. It more accurately demonstrates meaning of "soulless."

I like Rod Stewart and soul music. So natrually I really like this album. I'll take as much throwback as I can get!
