the monkees are and always will be my favorite band. all of their songs are so amazing and i never get tired of listening to them ;) my mom listened to them when she was little and she got me totally hooked. i'm 16 and i have friends that listen to the monkees too, so their music has been able to be experienced by a new generation as well :)

You were my first crush, so I leave my love for you here and to the rest of the Monkees. I have your songs in all formats, from LP Vinyl, 45's, 8 track tape, cassettes, CD's and now the iPod portion of my iPhone. You will be missed by many, R. I. P. My mom got me hooked on the TV show and after that there was no going back!

I always remembered this music from the campy Monkees TV show but never actually gave it a good listen until recently and discovered that it's actually quite good. And not on a sentimental basis but from a musical perspective. No mixing, no autotune, no drum machines, just well written and well played music that has no other purpose but to make you feel good and sing along - just like the TV show.

I had to download this in memory of D Jones...and besides its a really good cd, brings me back to good days

This makes the 3rd time I have bought this album first on vinal, then on cassett tape and now MP3. These songs evoke happy thoughts of my childhood everytime I hear them. Davy will be greatly missed!

great album, but sadly, we have lost another great musician. though i am 23 and didnt grow up with the monkees i love them and all old music. RIP Davy 66 is way too young.

There was very little about my childhood that was pleasant, but on Monday night at 8:00, I went to the most magical of places with my four best friends and for a short time, I was happy...hope to see you again on the other side of the rainbow, my friend...peace to you, Davy...

Great cd from an underrated band!! Davy just had a memorable voice. How many other people from the 60's can say that they outsold the Beatles?? They did in 1967!! Gone too soon Davy but your music lives on!! Heaven, "Look Out, Here Comes Davy"!!!

I absolutely love the monkees, but I also love the beatles. The Monkees are SO cool, my fave member would probably be Mike Nesmith. He's just so goofy, I'm a 14 year old girl version of him. My friends think I'm a total hippie cuz I love the monkees so much. I'm even knitting a hat just like Mike's it's gonna be real fun, I'm gonna wear it like every day. And I'm probably most likely laugh at the funny looks of everyone I meet. It's gonna be a blast and hilarious :)  The Monkees Forever!! I love the beatles too.

When someone dies & iTunes sells ton of their music it's the PEOPLE buying the songs that puts it at the top of iTunes. Not iTunes. And also, the artists family still gets the money ppl spend on iTunes for the deceased musician's song(s).

It was only last week when I heard about the monkees and I LOVE THEM! This album is the best for whoever likes the monkees! :)

Use to listen to this band all the time on car trips and havent listened to them in a while, their songs r really catchy and i never got tired of them! We would literally keep flipping the tape everytime it ended. This band is truly amazing and if you love the beatles you will for sure love the monkees!!

The Monkees are great. If you agree with me that The Beatles are the best (or awesome) you'll love the Monkees. The best song from this album is The Monkees' Theme (Hey Hey! We're the Monkees).

The Monkeys rock, the started from there own show and became a great band. Also why the sound like the beetles ( sort of) is the the show they are from was a spinoff of the beetles life as a band originally. So yes they are supposed to sound some what like the beetles people.

When I was in about fifth grade my Father took me and my sister, who was in Jr. High, to see the Monkees in concert when they came to Utah. It was in the middle of the day ( a school day no less) and we had to get permission to miss school, which was very rare for my parents to let us do. There were no assigned seating and when the doors opened we almost got trampled to death! My how concerts have changed! I'm thankful to the Monkees for helping to bridge the generation gap, as they were less threatening to the older generation than the Beatles ( who came out of the clubs in the red light districts of Euorpe). I have fond memories of both bands, but music aside the Monkees were a lighter side to the growing hippie,counter culture, anti war, drug using, long hair, culture that threatened our Parents values, and helped to pave the way to closing the gap!!!!

I was 10 when the Monkees first appeared on the scene. Too bad Davy didn't know that he and I were supposed to get married one day. :-) A good man -gone too soon.

I love the Monkees. Kinda grew up with them. But where are the TV episodes??? Why can't we get those? This album is truely the best of the Monkees music, but to really get the BEST of the Monkees, you have to watch there shows.
