colew28 - bring back the old linkin park

Miss the linkin park i grew up listening to like "in the end" and "numb".. bring back the better music you used make and leave the dubstep alone

HAN1313 - LINKIN PARK

My girlfriend left me because my obsession with Linkin Park. But in the end, it doesn't even matter.

holdenmagroyn - Pretty decent

I think that those that could succeed in remixing linkin park did a good job. Not what I was this was one of the last thing I was expecting from these guys but I am not disappointed at all

Third3rdthird333 - Lol they're the next Maroon 6

Start good then slowly deteriorate to pop crap

Umgftfeudffdfr - SWEET

Before, linkin park seemed a little intense, but now.... I LOVE THESE GUYS! The amazing lyrics, unique sounds and over all creativity is just simply awesome.

Funicochi - BRINGS A SMILE TO MY FACE

I resisted getting this album for a while because of all the bad press. Then I finally listened to it ... and I have a big cheesy smile on my face. This is a keeper! I enjoy hearing Linkin Park in new ways. No disappointment here. I have always been amazed with their music and have thoroughly enjoyed them as they have grown up. I must say my favorite most heartfult album thus far is "A Thousand Suns". That is a world changer !!

Sweety:-) - Perfection

I have loved Linkin Park and this is by far one of the higher rating albums. I highly reccomend.

Edkjvirhuoendjc - Awesome

Great album again, always have liked linkin park, and always will!

msid9999 - good remix album

reanimation and reliving things were better but this is still good. Vice remix and nickcatchdubs remix were the best

R 99 - Great

Love this collaboration

kydin - I like it! LP took a risk and it paid off

Full disclosure: I followed LP from the days when they were called Hybrid Theory up thru Meteora release. I loved alternative rock. During college I switched over to the house/dance music scene and have been there since (8 years at least) This new release, I thought, couldn't be in the dance category. Sure enough, it was LP's shot into a new genre. With my prior allegiance to the group, I gave it a shot and bought it. It was such a gutsy move to switch the music, but I really like it. I don't love every single song, but there are about 8 strong songs in this album that I can repeat daily. I'm glad to see an old band I used to play during my depressing years and now tune them in for upbeat vibes. Thanks guys for taking such a move and if you stick around, I'll be buying more of the music. :)

Zachwhitbalr - Daaaang

Love this I love the old linkin park and they're still here they just put a spin on things chill everyone

Iheartdubstep - Whats with the negativity?

I personally love dubstep and EDM so this is perfect for me, but yeah this is very different compared to other albums by linkin park. The remixes are just great, and a light that never comes is killer. It's a great album, but it's different. I love the datsik remix

Nigetsue - Evolution

This is just more proof that they keep growing with me- exploring the fronts that interest me with their own soul as the flavor. Great albume!!!!

Treece96 - Love it!

Good mix of dubstep, trap & bass, rock, and some rap! Keep it up!

Trombonist110 - Everything I'd Expect from LP

I am certainly not a fan of dubstep, pop, or anything of the sort. (Yes, I am aware that "pop" is a very broad genre.) Basically, if the tweeny little girls across the street are into it, I most likely won't be. But that doesn't mean that an album that sounds like this is going to scare me away from my favorite band. I've been a fan since I was in elementary school, and for good reason. Linkin Park has a certain feel to its music so that no matter what style they're using, a true fan would be able to pick up on it. I'd be willing to bet that if they were to go full "pop" in their style, left out any voice, and had a brand new song I've never heard playing in the supermarket, I would drop that frozen chicken and check iTunes for a new Linkin Park album. Because even in their remixes, I can hear the things I heard all those years ago when I'd first started listening to LP. I can hear what I'd longed for when my dad's playlist was lost, and we were too poor to buy music again. I'm sure that I speak for every true Soldier when I say that Linkin Park will never "change" (not for the worst, anyway) or become "lost". Especially not with one freaking remix album. Good job, Linkin Park. In the end, my actual opinion is this. I think it's a good album. I like the music. It's unique, and definitely worthy of being in one of their albums. I can't wait to see what the future brings.

Zombies r us 1234 - It grew on me

At first I didn't think I would like this dance/dubstep remix album since I don't really like that type of music in general, but the more I listened to it the more I realized it wasn't that bad. It is for this reason that I think if Linkin Park were to go so far as to put out a country album, I would probably come to like it eventually. I'm sure there are other people out there like me who can listen to anything these guys put out. I love it all.

Skyrim is beast 67687569 - To all LP fans

Ok so I have noticed something... When Linkin park does something that goes back to their roots everyone says *BRING NEW MUSIC but when they bring new music every person says WHAT HAPPENED TO THE OLD LINKIN PARK!!! I honestly don't understand criticism these days...

Carter Goff - Recharged

A light that never comes. I think that this song has some good vocal parts, and cool synth riffs, but the rap part it too extensive for my taste. Castle of glass (M. Shinoda remix) I find the muted vocals at the beginning of the song to be kind of strange, but the rest of the song has some good dance beats and synth parts. Lost in the echo (kilsonik remix) This song varies a lot from the original; Since it is nearly twice as long, it has a lot more vamping to it, but not so much as to make it annoying. The rap part is sped up, making it feel too rushed compared to the rest of the song. Victimized (M. Shinoda remix) The beginning of this song has an interesting ā€œstutterā€ effect on the vocals. Throughout the rest of the song there is a kind of sped up beat that gives it kind of retro video game sound. Like some of the other songs in the album, the vocals are kind of muted, but I think that these ones needed it. Iā€™ll be gone (vice remix) I have skipped this track due to explicit content. Lies greed misery (dirtyphonics remix) I think that this song has some interesting pitch changes, making the lead singer sound almost feminine at times, and the rapper so low as to not quite sound human. Roads untraveled (rad omen remix) This song had some interesting dynamics to it. It has a cool extended percussion intro. It has some fast background synth that gives it more of a typical pop feel to it in parts than most Linkin Park songs. Powerless (Enferno remix) There is a lot of instrumentals, and some background vocals that give this song sort of an ā€œend of the albumā€ feel to it. There is a lot of good dance beats and instrumentals, but I find it to be too repetitive. Burn it down (Tom Swoon remix) At the beginning, you hear the phrase ā€œwait at the turnā€ about 15 times. I feel like the instrumentals arenā€™t paired very well with the vocals, like someone took the vocals from one song, and added them to the instrumentals from another one. Until it breaks (Datsik remix) 6 minutes was just too long; the rap parts are repeated quite a bit, and they werenā€™t that great in the first place. When the rap isnā€™t getting repeated, the instrumentals are pretty good. Skin to bone (Nick catchdubs remix) The intro and the rest of the song feel kind of disconnected. This is the kind of song that needs a dance to go with it to make it exciting. Iā€™ll be gone (schoolboy remix) This song does vary from the original a good deal, but in a good way. It has kind of a DJ club sound to it. The instrumentals without vocals in them have more variety to them than the other songs on the album, making it so that it doesnā€™t drag on like the other songs. Until it breaks (money mark headphone remix) The rapping has kind of weird reverb echo effect on it that makes it almost hurt your ears. You start to wonder if this song is going to end soon about halfway through. There is some synth that sounds something like a harmonica that doesnā€™t really work with the rest. A light that never comes (rick rubin reboot) A piano part gives this track a much subtler sound to it than the hard synth and percussion in the other track. It all blends together so much better than the other songs, so that it seemed quite a bit shorter and went by faster. Summary: Most of the songs in this album are better in their original forms, but they have some good beats for dance; or maybe some people just like to listen to this kind of music.

Chauncey Rothschild - Their first true failure

I've always injoyed Linkin Park. All five of their studio albums have given me something to enjoy, but this just doesn't work. All the producers sound like a bunch of second-rate Skrillex wannabes, and all they do is produce bass drops, random splicing, repetition, and more bass drops. "Victimized" is easily the worst remix here, with everything (EVERYTHING) turned up as loud as possible for no reason other than to be loud. The only worthwhile songs on here are "A Light That Never Comes" (both versions) , "Powerless", "I'll Be Gone (feat. Pusha T)", and "Roads Untraveled."

Disappointed1fan - What happened!?!

What happened to the GOOD linkin park that got me through two deployments in the middle east? Whatever this band is now needs to get back to the roots that made them so great. Im sad to say that I do not think that i well be buying anymore of their music. I thought I was going to be a life long fan but this new age diarrhea that they are dropping is no good.

NatakuYozora - Seriously?

Everyone says missing the metal and it's kinda funny actually. Considering almost every album they've released has featured a mr hahn dj solo track. Each album they create has a different overall feel and this is clearly another reanimation and I always love the creativity that goes into these changes. Just enjoy it for what it is and stop treating this as some brand new album.

Bacon pants - Ok but I miss the old linkin park

This album was supposed to be modeled after reanimation but is no where close to as good. The single is ok but the rest is just bad. A thousand suns didn't even come close to my expectations and living things had about 4 bad songs. Linkin park fans can only hope that the next album is as good as hybrid theory, medeora, and minutes to midnight.

SZ LōC - Sick DJs

I've been a LP fan forever and I feel this is their best album in a while. In my opinion, the album has a similar concept as the band's "Reanimation" release in 2002. Integration of dub step and electronic music gives the tracks a modern day feel. As expected, the DJs are sick. "I'll Be Gone" is worth buying the album alone. Still looking forward the next LP studio album. Hoping it to have the sound of a modern day "Hybrid Theory"!

Steeles77 - Unique & New

Their oldest albums (Hybrid Theory & Meteora) focused more on the Rap Metal (or Nu Metal) because it satisfied the generation the respected albums were released. As an avid Metal listener, and Electronic listener (but not enthusiastic Pop listener) I enjoy the new shift they introduced with this album. And for those who are worried about the shift into hardcore Electronic/Dub remixes, remember their Reanimation album which also focused on Pop during that time.

MixMasterFerno - Great!

I don't understand why people don't still love this band. There albums have only been nothing short of amazing, and this one is no exception. I'm am really sick of "fair weather fans" or the people who just listen to a random album then bash the rest.

HI_cesar - gay

this is the saddest thing ever. go back to hybrid theory and meteora dayssssssssss

DeadMau5FanaTic85 - linkin park forever

linkin park is the best nuff said

amicitiawastaken - Again, Epic Stuff.

I return! Let's start the album review, shall we? A LIGHT THAT NEVER COMES : A very melodic dance, in my opinion. I'm speechless about Steve Aoki. 5/5 CASTLE OF GLASS (M. Shinoda Remix) : Actually a pretty good, upbeat track. 4.5/5 LOST IN THE ECHO (Killsonik Remix) : Now this, is what I call dubstep. An AWESOME remix by Killsonik! Nothing tops that! 10/5 VICTIMIZED (M. Shinoda Remix) : A breakcore track made by Mike. Hmmm, seems legit. 7/5 I'LL BE GONE (Vice Remix) : An awesome track. 3.9/5 LIES GREED MISERY (Dirtyphonics Remix) : A DnB track by Dirtyphonics. Cool. 5/5 ROADS UNTRAVELED (Rad Omen Remix) : A good electro track remix. 6/5 POWERLESS (Enferno Remix) : One of my favorite songs remixed. Beautiful. 5/5 BURN IT DOWN (Tom Swoon Remix) : A pretty decent remix in my opinion. 5.5/5 UNTIL IT BREAKS (Datsik Remix) : WHAT?!?!?! A REMIX BY DATSIK?! AWESOME!! 9.5/5 SKIN TO BONE (Nick Catchdubs Remix) : A pretty good remix. I'LL BE GONE (Schoolboy Remix) : An AWESOME melodic remix. 4.5/5 UNTIL IT BREAKS (Money Mark Headphones Remix) : This has been a trippy remix to me. I love it. But it lacks feeling to the song. 4.5/5 A LIGHT THAT NEVER COMES (Rick Rubin Reboot) : Terrible. Just...wow. 1/5 Total Rating: A recommended album for new LP fans.

Mrs.Snider1988 - Awesome!

Fan forever.

Shrrg - Undecided.

Linkin Park is always changing their direction, and it keeps fans like me on their toes. So far, they have not let me down with any of their releases. However, it can't be denied that this is their weakest one to date. It still enjoyed this album to some degree, but it pales in comparison to Reanimation. Either way, it's a solid release.

JULIE I love EDM - Stop the hate

It's just remixes of some of their songs. That's why it's dance. Geez people can't try something new without all the hate. Poor LP they worked so hard on this and so did the Djs who remixed it. I love these remixes.

CrashTheStampede - Some band that I used to know...

I've been a fan of these guys since Y2K, and It pains me to say that I really think this is it for me. This will definitely mark the last time I ever pre-order an album, that's for sure. I totally understand the whole "reinvention and evolution" thing, but there is a point at which it comes across as just trying too hard.

Darth Tobito - Now for my official opinion

Now that the album is out I can see there are maybe 2 or 3 decent remixes. The others are just not good mixes at all. Reanimation was a much better remix album. Recharged's highlight is just the single: A Light That Never Comes. The mixers they hired aren't exactly doing anything special, FYI: not all remixes have to be dubstep influenced. This is the first time LP has dissapointed me. I'll look forward to their next album and just pass this on over. I'm still a fan LP but they are just not living up to standards.

Spartanelete - Combines Two Great Genres

I've always loved Linkin Park, but also enjoy other genres including dubstep. Linkin Park's fusion of their album with a dubstep mix is excellent. The album was already great, but just these additions make them all feel entirely new.

Photo_Genesis - Obviously no one remembers Reanimation

its a great album overall and reminds me of reanimation Linkin park didnā€™t change its a remix to their last album kind of like Reanimation amazing tunes

Nicholio123 - LOVE LINKIN PARK

I love Linkin Park

Austyn Dixon - SCARED

I love LP but I also love that Thier growing up and changing but this is just scary but good for any real fan

MO CARTER - why chester why

why cant you go back to basics.please give us more hybrid theory and meteora

the docotor - linkin park who?

what happened guys? hybrid theory and meteora rarely made it out of my cd player, minutes to midnight marked the beginning of the end, and recharched is just.....terrible, linkin park you guys sold out long ago

Cheeto700 - Great

Idk why everybody hates Linkin Park experimenting with new stuff. I enjoy this!

Lp18! - Longtime fan!!

Anyone who remembers reanimation should already knew they would come out with another great remix album after having yet releasing another successful album last year! Truly awesome

Ruacammel - Okay, what is this????????????:( :(

LP has been goin in the wrong direction since A Thousand Suns. 1 more bad album, and idk if i can even consider buying another song. :( :( and why r they goin into dance music?????????????????

kroppy4263 - SERIOUSLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHY!!!!! I USED TO LOVE LP! BUT NOW DUBSTEP? SERIOUSLY!!!!!!! I WANT THE OLD METAL LP BACK!!!!!!!! I HOPE THEY HAVE A BETTER ALBUM

double digit - Good

I gave this 4 stars cause I think it deserves it. Maybe not the best they have ever done but it is still good and yeah they changed but that's how you grow as a artist. Good job LP keep it up.

FavMusic1031 - Pathetic

If they were truly a good band, they would realize that they should not have to come out with a pointless album just to make a couple extra $$ obviously they aren't sticking to the theme they had in the last albums, it was way better when they didn't ruin there own songs just for attention.

JordKriger - Always will be a fan.

Part of their charm is that they always change up their music style. Tho I along with a good majority of Linkin Park's fans miss 'Hybrid Theory' style more, the music they put out is still good. Not only that their music helped me thru some tough times.

Mason593 - Where did the Rock go?

Its a bit different that they have switched to the electric theme more, and they were great when they had actual instruments instead of a keyboard and some sliders. Don't get me wrong, the are still pretty good, but in my opinion, and many others, I think they need to go back to what they are good at. Maybe even mix the two genres together.

Fabreeze12109 - Whattttt?

What happened to the old linkin park? Now that they've gone electronic; they're not the same anymore :(

IOAB90 - Linkin Park fan till the end!

I love this album. I can't get enough of it and for those who just want to constantly diss Link Park, go on ahead and leave because bands like to change their sound up and if you were a true fan you'd still be representing this band no matter what. Keep up the great work Linkin Park!
