crhauser - I have been one of Jason's biggest fans, but....

I miss his older stuff. He and Toca were awesome together. Where's the snappy pace, clever fun lyrics and just plain old fun? I'm not giving up yet, but I only liked a few songs on his last album, and this one just doesn't have the personality or the fun, none of them stand out as great. No upbeat songs that make you want to sing and dance and steal things! I gave two stars cuz this is Jason, but one more like this, I'm outta here. This is sad because I've even flown to a different state to see him in conert.

khor12 - LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Mr. Mraz has done it again!

typeanynicknamehere - he is a cool cat...but

it all sounds exactly the same. every song. every album.

Piggyton - Love, love, love it!!

I love everything about your new album! I've been listening to your albums for 8-10 years and so far everything is great!! Your music is so inspirational and your lyrics mean so much to me. Keep it up!:)

Barbie Lyn - Feel good music!

This new album is wonderful. Very calming and wholesome. Gives me the feeling that I'm in a close, intimate gathering with Jason Mraz playing exclusively for us. (Oh, and I wish he was) I am a long time fan and highly suggest this album!

victormd - Style & sense

Love & Yes give me a different picture of Jason Mraz. Prior albums were frenetic, schizophrenic almost difficult to guess. Quite exciting and sensual. These last 2 show mellowed, standard logic. The style peeks through but the ability to excite is not there.

Arwen112977 - Give it a chance people!

I was so disappointed with Jason's last album "Love is a Four Letter Word". I hated it. I have been of fan of Jason Mraz for years and I couldn't understand how quickly he lost what I loved most about him. I was barely looking forward to this album because I had no idea which Jason we'd be getting. I am happy... Soooo happy with this album! It just makes me happy, in a good mood, and wanting to bring more positivity into my life. This album is exactly what it is meant to be. A chill, pleasing, laid back acoustic type album and it is exactly what I needed! I haven't stopped listening to it and I just can't! I am so happy to finally have Mr. A-Z back in my life again! I quickly bought tickets to his show at the Fox in Atlanta making it concert #5 for me and I can't wait!!!!!!

JD75425 - Change can be good

It is interesting to see such a change in his style over the years. The worse thing to do is to give a bad review because it is not similar to his earlier work. As people grow, they change and so does their work. However, his music is still enjoyable and I appreciate the change in his style. If you listen to this music without thinking "Mraz," then maybe some of you will enjoy it more.

Nash2010 - Love

I love this album Yes is wonderful, I enjoy it as much as LOVE. Just say yes and get this one. and take the long way home and listen to it.

Serenastargazr - Amazing, as always!

There's not a bad song on this album! Incredible, as usual!

sozosuru - People change.

Look, to all the people saying that he's different: OF COURSE HE IS FREAKING DIFFERENT. Artists change like the rest of us do. I bought the album and fell in love with it. No, it's not the old Mraz, but again, change happens. And I commend and support him for wanting to try something different.

Miloscute - Jason's best work to date!

Jason Mraz is one of a kind. Nobody else sounds like him, and nobody sings from the heart quite like him. This album is by far his best work to date, in my opinion. Every song makes me feel a different emotion, and his collaboration with Raining Jane only makes it better. He is one of THE most talented artists out there today. Each album shows growth, and that is how it should be. He is my hero.

J MSW/PHD - Just what I needed!

As with most of his albums, this one gets me right where I need it and when I need it. Many people don't listen to the story or message that the lyrics are trying to convey, but I implore you to listen to the lyrics and you will not be disappointed.

Starburst1980 - Love!

I have been a fan since day one. His music continues to bring so much joy and inspiration. This album is amazing! Can't get enough!

goldenruehl - Much love

I just want to say that no matter where Jason goes with his music, I will support him. Every lyric, every beat, and every song on this album makes my heart melt with happiness. I'm saying YES!, to this album being a success. Once again, thank you Jason.

springbabyblues - My Opinion

I pre-ordered this one and it finally came out and I was like, "meh" in the beginning but the more I listen its growing one me. I kinda miss the old Jason Mraz but I do understand that people grow and the music changes. I can respect that. I'm feeling it the more I listen to it. I wouldn't say this is my top Jason Mraz album but its good and its solid.

bob painter - YES! Well done:)

With my deep love for Christ I see many songs with a real connection to the Trinity. I feel Jason has continued to evolve as a storyteller. I have placed the 4 relaeses I own on shuffle and really can't hear anything other than a great mix of an artist with a very distinct brand sound that says this is Jason Mraz. Great Job Jason!

YoThGi - What happened...?

All these sunshine and hipster songs all sound the same. I miss the old funky, jazzy, quickbeat Jason. What happened to Butterfly, The Dynamo of Volition, or Geek In The Pink. I miss the witty verses and rhymes. He was one of the only persons to make good music not all about love and if he did, it would be metaphorically. This is disappointing.

theatredork119 - Mraz: everyone’s big brother.

I have been listening to Jason Mraz since 2004, since 7th grade. I’ve grown up listening to his songs that say things in the perfect way. I freakin’ feel like he’s my big brother because of all the stuff he has gotten me through. With all that said, this album made me so happy. Love is a Four Letter Word just an odd album for me. I didn’t connect to it very well, and I was worried that he was going to go in a different direction. But YES! is fantastic. It is very reminiscent of his earlier works. The wordplay into complex moments and memories is definitely his strong suit and he took advantage of it in this album. I love these songs. It puts a hopefully spin on certain things and all around it a much better album then the hiccup that was Love is a Four Letter Word. You need to have this album! Words cannot describe how wonderful the messages are within the songs. Truly beautiful.

NJ JIM - Old Man Mraz

Corny, repetitive lyrics! Ed Sheeran makes this guy sound so boring and dated.

EPlover86 - Great Collaboration!

This album is a collaboration with Raining Jane. They are currently touring with Mraz on his acoustic tour, which is why the sound is a bit different from his other albums. I saw them in March and they were amazing! They only played one song from this album (hello, you beautiful thing) and I really enjoyed their enthusiasm and energy for the concert and the yet to be released album. If you've never heard of Raining Jane then you can't appreciate the unique sound and lyrical style. They truly are an amazing group! Check them out!! They even cowrote "A Beautiful Mess", which is a beautiful song! And it proves they are worth a listen.

bryanstephenkerr - Brilliant evolution of JM

There are several reviews that ask what happen to the JM we fell in love with? He has evolved as all great musicians do! This album follows up his previous album LOVE and it is phenomenal. This new album is more mature and takes the listener on a masterful journey of dulcet tones and sweet harmonies. Just as The Beatles grew musically we cannot compare his freshman music to this junior year album. It's different and it's brilliant. I love it.

Jayme is a ninja - Hmmm...

"Everywhere" is the only song that hints at the musician I had packed on my iPod years ago. The acoustic sounds of JM past with Toca blending just enough to compliment the lyrics... Now it feels like every song is from a group jam on a Disney movie.

Guitardad3m - Mraz has lost it...

His last two albums don't even compare to his first two. This is just the wrong direction for him IMO!

Kaz6543 - Wonderful

Yes! is great. A love the collaboration with Raining Jane. The songs are well written and I think Jason's voice has gotten better. I am really enjoying this!

shon3 - My new song

I called JASON MRAZ! LOL

Mchev00 - No!

The songs all sound the same

Lulu7777 - Love it!!

A beautiful work from JM.

Sarahrd123 - I love it!

I love this album! I listen to it everyday now! I know that Jason's music has changed, and some people don't like that. But everybody has a point in their life where they change something, and for Jason it was his music. I completely respect that! Who knows! Maybe one day he will make a song just like the songs he made in 2008, but for now he should keep doing what he is doing. It's going to take him places! Yes! is my favorite album now. Keep up the good work, Jason.

Flaco Noel - Awesome!

This is an amazing album. I love how each song has a different feel to it but at the same time they all mesh together perfectly.

Kwadeowner - Dump the Girls!

I thought I bought a Jason Mraz album, but apparently not. He’s got these feminists and lickity splits working with him. You were beta before….not sure what you thought this would make you. Worst Mraz album ever and I have them all. Such a disappointment.

yarbdaddy - It's How to Begin the Day

Mraz leaves cynicism behind here and embraces the hope and power in authentic love. Music to move you into a good mood and give you fuel to meet the day.

Susan815 - Awesome!!!

Never fails to impress. The simplicity and beauty shines through in ‘Love Someone’. The lyrics & soft tone really get to you when you’ve seen how WOW life and love really is!!!

ClayMacC - One of the best

Always been a fan but this is the first album I have purchased. I am enjoying every song. I may need to increase my Jason Mraz library now.

Kirby in Colorado - Sophisticated Simplicity!

Now I'm the first to admit- I've become quite a JM junkie. But it happened by accident. First I heard "I Won't Give Up" on the radio and loved it. Then I took my wife with me to see him at Red Rocks in Denver- we cried when we heard his tunes because they hit so close to home. Since then I've realized the depth of Jason's lyrical creativity and substance and the simple purity of his music. This new album "Yes!" is absolutely fantastic, but perhaps because he teamed up with Raining Jane the attitude is pretty chill. I can't stand all the one-star reviews of this album because I think those folks are missing Jason's heart an soul. I'd even go out on a limb and say that "Yes!" is the album Jason's always wanted to put out but he needed the classic "rock" and "pop" themed songs on previous albums to get his name on the map. Now he's making the music of his heart. And I for one love what I see and hear! Buy this album and plan on receiving a gift of precious perspectives on joy, peace, love and life. You won't be disappointed unless you want mere background noise.

Ray220285 - What happen

Not the same Jason at all. His music was art back in 2008. What happen?!?! One day he will come back. Fyi raining jane is not helping at all!!! bring back Rivera

a mime - Beauty

I love jason mraz he found ways to keep my days alive. Not much to say but ima take my gf on a long drive.

M192051419121144 - Mraz is one of the very best song writers today

Great singer and wonderful song writer! Love the thoughtful positive lyrics. Will touch a tender chord in most anyone.

InteraweyaQ8 - Latifah kuwait

He seems effortless with everything he does, but the album is amazingly put together, definitely different a bit from the previous album but it's absolutely amazing, my money is never a waste when spent on anything related to Jason, Endless love to him

tunesjunkieNC - Disappointed

I bought this album without prelistening and regretted it. The album lacks any of the soulful melodies or endearing playfulness that makes Jason Mraz so unique. Listen before you buy.

Ashrmey - Nothing wrong with evolving

I’m really enjoying this new album - but I enjoy everything Mraz does, so it’s not really a surprise. Does this sound anything like his first two albums? No. But I don’t understand why some people have such an issue with that. It’s HIS music, and there’s nothing wrong with evolving over time. If this is what he wants to create at this point in his life, then that’s great! You can’t deny his incredible talent either way.

Dinkes - Wow Mraz you did it again!

WOW god talks to you in mysterious ways and he has done it through Jason Mraz awesome album!!

Lesa Cupini - JMF

This album captures Jason Mraz's essence as an artist. His passion for music is apparent in each song. I absolutely love and appreciate the way he is evolving his music.

ShayCarl&TheShaytards - Awesome!

The element of surprise is on Jason's side again! Such great beats :) love it!

Frelling_cute - Happy Go Lucky

What happened to the hip happy go lucky guy with all the fun riffs. Now it’s all so serious and depressing. I want the old Jason back.

819Boy - He's Done it Again

Loving Jason's "Yes" Loving "Raining Jane" as a Big Part. Just Wondering, Why no visible credit anywhere on album cover ???????

Truthhurtsknoworbeindanger - Honestly...

Honestly I am disappointed..Not what I expected

macklemore >>> - October 11th here I come!

seeing Jason in a few months & I can't wait! love this album & can't wait to see him in person! great music!

Ksig - Songs are decent, but arrangements?

I've given this album at least 5 complete listenings. I agree with some others that this is not his best work. A few songs are true gems, like Love Someone and Long Drive. The real trouble is the fact that this album is an all-acoustic effort, which lends little dynamic variation. This is why some have said that all the songs sound the same. I think that if some different instrumentation had been used on some of the tracks, it would have made a huge difference. Raining Jane definitely has influenced him, but it's a little to the detriment of the album overall. I wish he would get back to some of his peppier tunes. I liked his songs that had a bit more edge. For example, from his third album, "Love for a Child" was such a beautiful song, full of both angst and hope. I'm not saying we have to have a Curbside Prophet or Dynamo of Volition on every album, but this album feels almost a little bit like a less potent Mraz. I would be curious to hear non-acoustic remixes of some of these songs. All that having been said, I still believe Mraz is an incredible artist, perhaps the best among modern musicians. Maybe the next album will demonstrate a wider range of his abilities. This album feels just a little too one-note.

Rgracious - GREAT SONGS GREAT SOUL - YES!

I lost my best friend this past week to brain cancer. We played the song “best friend" for her yesterday at her funeral and I was so thankful to have a song that so well expressed the thoughts and feelings that I could not seem to express myself. He did so - simply and so heartfelt - and the timing could not have been more perfect. I feel like this was written for us and our awesome friendship - what a song and what an album/CD! Thank you to my J-man and the Girls for such a wonderful message and gift - you’re accomplishing what you meant to!
