Alright, I will admit it: I'm a HUGE Harry Potter fan and I've gone back to purchase this album. SO WHAT!!!!!!!!! EVERY TRUE FAN HAS!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the best of the soundtracks because it started it all and is so original just like it was back then all the way to the present-day. While "Hedwig's Theme" is key, I have some other personal favorites as well such as "The Chess Game", "The Norweigan Ridgeback/A Change of Season", "The Qudditich Match", "The Arrival of Baby Harry", "Diagon Alley/The Gringotts Vault", and "Leaving Hogwarts". So if you're a Harry Potter fan like me, spend your 12 dollars on this whenever you can!!!

I LOVE HP!!! the invisibility cloak song gives me the chills-and when i listened to it i could see the movie playing in my head. It was really amazing, Wiliams is a truly phenomenal composer

John Williams' compositions do not disappoint. Lovely melodies. He weaves Harry's theme in almost every track. I particularly like the vocals in "Christmas at Hogwarts" and the lyrics--very nice surprise and well done by the singers. The whole album is stirring and moving and very well played by the musicians.

I love this album because with each song, you can tell perfectly what scene Harry Potter was and always will be my childhood!!!!!!!

Hedwig's theme now none as the Harry Potter themesong I love it because every movie they change the song just a little bit to suit the movie especially the way they did it in the 3rd 6th and 7th movie but the best is probably the first movie because thats what started it all I also like that it traveled along from composer to composer so that they all could add there own little mix every year the music changes and gets better and better

John Williams has done an incredinle job!!! This music truly encompasses the magic and awe of Harry's introduction to the Wizarding world. It's a shame he has only composed for the first 3 movies. Bring John Williams back for Deathly Hallows Part 2...please!!!

This soundtrack is absolutely incredible. The music is beautiful and if you close your eyes it can sometimes feel as if you're at Hogwarts or it will bring back wonderful memories of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter if you went or if you were even on the website. I have had this album for about 9 months now and I can yell you it was worth every single penny.

The music really fits the movies. It does sound fimiliar though. Almost like Indiana Jones.

OMG I loved the movie. The second I finished the movie, I became obsessed with Harry Potter.

John Williams has created such a legacy that no other composer, maybe Danny Elfman, will ever be able to recreate. HE knows how to make music and how to tell a story with it. The first time I watched Harry Potter I knew it was John's music. When I listen to this music, I feel as though I have traveled with Harry POtter through his journey. I picture myself walking on to the streets of Diagon Alley, seeing Gringotts, riding the Hogwarts Express for the first time, being sorrted by the sorting hat, playing Quidditch, and battling Voldemort. This is what music in movies is suppose to do. It should allow you to leave your world, and enter a new, and this is what John Williams does with every soundtrack he creates (Jaws, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, ect.). I do not understand how some poeple see Darth Vader in the movie playing Quidditch when the music comes on, but okay.

Of course its gonna sound some what alike, idiots. Its the same composer. HARRY POTTER IS AMAZING! my favorite is hedwigs theme, definetly worth 99 cents.

John Williams is in Genius! Created wonderful Scores: Superman* (1979), Indiana Jones* (1989), The Lost Word: Jurassic Park* (1997), Star Wars* (1999) and now Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. I loved the theme of Harry Potter. "Hedwig's Theme" is fantastic! It had to be even John Williams. It's Perfect! (*: The Score is in order of nominations the Grammy Awards, not in the Release).

This is just my favorite kind of music along with the peter pan soundtrack too. I just don`t know what to say I am speechless. This is beautiful and I have seen all these movies lots of times. Can`t get enough!!! This will be something to remember forever. You can`t say NOTHING exciting happened over the years. It is very neat to have watched them grow up. My favorite song on here is Leaving Hogwarts. Also, I enjoy Hedwig`s Theme.

I LOVE Harry Potter. I have a scar on my forehead just like Harry. It is not shaped like a lightning bolt and it is not red, but sometimes I end up with mysteries like in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I LOVE Harry Potter!

John Williams has created some of the most iconic orchestrations in movie history. These movie scores are no exception. The main theme immediate transports you to Hogwarts and is as fundamentally tied to the franchise as the characters themselves. Simply masterful!

Hmkay...WHY is it that I hear snippets of "Indiana Jones," "Hook," and "Star Wars" in this soundtrack? I'm not talking about little bits and pieces, but main themes. Okay, we know John Williams is brilliant, but...the themes from his other movies were getting in the way of the HP story. During the first Quidditch match, I was so distracted by the music, I felt like I should expect Darth Vader to come down on a broomstick holding the Holy Grail in his one hand, his other hand being a hook. At any rate, the original music (when it IS original) is good, and Hedwig's Theme has obviously set itself up as the main theme for the rest of the series.

The other HP scores are beautiful too, there's no doubt about it... but there's just something magical about the first film's score. It was one of the many elements that completely brought the films to life.

I'm a Williams fan. After composing such great music for Jaws, Star Wars, E.T., Indiana Jones, Superman and Jurassic Park it's amazing that he still had this much creativity in him for Harry Potter. This is a must-own soundtrack for any movie lover. The music transports you to a place of pure magic and wonder.

I love the first three Harry Potter soundtracks! I bought them as soon as they came out and listened to them while reading the books. I must say i'm sad that John Williams didn't continue to do the score to the Harry Potter movies because the soundtrack for the first three movies was magical!
