I had high hopes for this album. It's okay, but nothing spectacular. It's bro/pop-country. Try "Beach Town", "Gonna Wanna Tonight", "Jack Daniels and Jesus", and "Ready Set Roll"- Which if you haven't heard by now then you don't listen to much "country" radio.

One of favorite songs is Ride! The song ride is a original by SoMo! He is amazing singer! He is more r&b and pop. This song made him famous! I love Chris Rice and this shows how great country music singers are they help the new people in the music industry! It would pretty cool to see Chris rice and SoMo write a song together. The original song and Chris rice input is AMAZING!!!!!

I grew up listening to country music, George Strait, Garth Brooks, and others like them. This is not country music. There may be a place for foul language and offensive lyrics in music, but this isn't it. I am completely disgusted by the trend that's happening in the music I have loved for as long as I can remember. I refuse to support this garbage.

Deserves more radio play

Wow!! I just so happened to stumble across Chase's Music and played the first song listed. What a great voice, amazing lyrics, and awesome beat. I will be listening to more of his music.

Liked Chase's first two country albums so pre-ordered this one. Nothing like the first two. He used to be country; now, only possibly three country songs on this album - the rest belong on pop or alternative radio. Buy "Carolina Can" if you want a country song and leave the rest alone. This is just terrible.

Just heard his version of "Ride" for the first time today. I think I speak for all the ladies when I say, "Woah, he's the man." This song gave me the chills, & I immediately told three friends to look it up. He really has soul in his music, & he's not afraid of being a different kind of country boy.. Always have loved me some good 'ole Chase man!!

This is hugely disappointing coming from a die-hard Chase Rice fan. I remember when I first discovered chase, at a local bar. The dude could sing, was a good looking guy, and overall seemed like a genuine person. He talked about his love for country many times. His first album Friday Nights & Sunday Mornings was awesome. Could listen to it every day. His 2nd album was my favorite album ever. Upbeat, rocking country. This is crap. Chase has sold out to Nashville. I'm not sure if it's girls, money or a record label, but someone or something changed him. This is not the artist I came to know and love. The only good song off this record (or country song, but that's a different argument) is Carolina Can. Jack Daniels & Jesus, Whoa, and How She Rolls are from Dirt Road Communion. It's truly sad to see such a talented artists do this to his music. I can officially say now I'm not a Chase Rice fan. Chase, if you read this, you may be picking up new fans, but you're losing the ones that got you where you are. I hope it's worth it.

His voice is mediocre. This album makes me cringe. It isn't a "twist" on country music. It isn't country music at all. So auto tuned. Embarrassed that this is what country music has come to.

What in the world is this.. this isn't country.. but it's not pop either.. it's some strange attempt to merge the two into one.. and it just doesn't work in the slightest. And what with the pointless swearing? Don't get me wrong, I could care less if a song has curse words in it. Heck I've got multiple songs with f-words in my library. But when there seems to be no point to it other then just "because he can", it's just kind of annoying.

OK "Ride" is not his song!! HE DID NOT WRITE IT! SoMo did! SoMo released it in 2012. This song is a complete copy word for word. and this is not country. only reason I'm rating a 1 star is bc I can't rate it a 0.

Aside from this being pop-country, (and the fact he covers a pop song, and sings about guys smoking mary jane which I can't recall in many other [pop-] country albums, and reuses his year old songs,) it's actually pretty good. Auto tune doesn't really bother me and I actually do like 4 songs on the album.

I like country music for a lot of reasons. But one is that you can listen to it with children. Curse words don't really bother me. But Ride? A song that is nothing but a man talking about making love to a woman. And not really love. I'm gonna ride you? I'll be gentle, don't scream?! Disgusting!!
