There are several artists named Amena 1) AmenA is Yemen born singer Amena Alsameai, currently living in Sweden having fled from the war. 2) Amena is the newest post airy rapper that hails from Atlanta, Ga. Her savvy music business skills were honed at the University of Georgia and tested while interning at Street Exces. At the time, she had no idea she would soon be thinking of campaigns to promote her own sound. Post graduation she strayed ,what seems like, even farther from artistry when she moved to New York to take a job on Wall Street. But Amena’s inherent writing skills and fearless personality nudged her to kiss her cushy corporate job goodbye and give the music industry what they need to hear. Her debut single “Pretty Bitch” earned listeners attention immediately and landed her a performance at Union Eav in Atlanta, Ga. She was booked for two more shows that same night. Today, you can find Amena in studios all over the United States experimenting with sounds and using her platform to empower women -- no matter what path they take.
