Jess Suilenroç Biography
Jessmine Cornelius, known as “Jess Suilenroç, was born January 18, 1994 in Dallas, Texas and found her gift of singing at the age of six. At the constant push of her grandmother, the late Jo Ann Perkins, Jess easily became a standout in every choir she participated in. After becoming a viral sensation by reaching over 20 million views on Facebook on her cover of the Deniece Williams hit “Silly”, Jess knew that it was time to put the wheels of her music career in motion. She draws her influence from legends like Anita Baker, Lailah Hathaway, & Lauryn Hill. Education has always been her number one priority but she has learned, through time, that her gift for music cannot be denied. Jess remains vocal regarding issues of social injustice and advocating in the #ForTheCulture movement. A student at Prairie View A&M University, Jess is majoring in History with a minor in African-American Studies. Her goal is to obtain a Bachelor's degree & simultaneously pursue her career in the music industry.
