Maria Del Sol Biography
Maria Del Sol (born Marisol de Las Mercedes Echánove Rojas on October 24, 1961) is a Mexican singer who recorded pop music from 1980-1991. Despite recording many albums, Maria Del Sol never achieved total popularity and only one smash song with "Un Nuevo Amor" in 1986. After a tumultous personal life, she decided to retire in 1991 to focus on her life after spending almost all her youth recording a total of 9 albums and constant touring. Maria Del Sol went on to acting in the telenovela "Madres Egoistas", playing the main villain in said story in 1991. in 1999 María Del Sol became a born-again Christian and since then has dedicated herself and her career to that market. She has released 2 Christian albums "Llego El Amor (2002)" and "Soy Mamá (2005)". She has often been hailed as one of the best "soul" singers that Mexico has hosted and is still respected among the music industry .
