Iambabyred - Songs are amazing 🐘

The first three singles were great & the album was completely different from the old music but there's no doubt that they are still so good and the concert is even more wild then their music , you can't miss out because they are still cage the elephant ❤️

Tmg allstar - ❌❌❌TRASH❌❌❌

DO NOT BUY WASTE OF MONEY!!!

Corabells - the best

I LOVE THIS ALBUM!!!

Memphistig - Mess around

Great stuff at least mess around single, reminds me of Old CTE, funky and all. But can tell Dan's influence on a few singles. Stick to the funky, eclectic sound all the way through next time out. Its what makes CTE.

Mak_daddy-101 - Amazing! 👌🏻💯🔥🔥🔥

On their fourth album, Kentucky band Cage the Elephant refurbish mid-Sixties retro-rock with a 21st-century studio vividness – creating something akin to watching old footage of Sandy Koufax or Bill Russell in crisp hi-def with modern camera angles. Produced by the Black Keys' Dan Auerbach,Tell Me I'm Pretty evokes the Yardbirds, the Easybeats, the Hollies and the acne-scarred Nuggets bands that had one-hit fun ripping off those British Invasion bands, along with a dollop of "Crimson and Clover"-style avant-bubblegum wooziness. On the album-opening "Cry Baby," psychedelic fuzztones swirl and rush up like fresh lava, while songs like "Cold Cold Cold" and "Mess Around" scream with garage-soul heat and dirty crunch. But Cage the Elephant aren't trying to replicate the music they're honing in on – there's a big difference in tone and mood. Even at their most horndog angsty, those LBJ-era kids were bristling with wild enthusiasm; Cage singer Matt Shultz seems more jittery and frayed. The languid dream-folk standout "Trouble" sounds gorgeously burnt, with a vaguely hounded feel that evokes red eyes hidden behind mirror-shades. "Sweet Little Jeanie" is where the Beatles' "She's Leaving Home" meets a grisly, punked-up dead end ("We pinned your missing picture up on every mother loving post/How's it feel to be a ghost"), and the trouble-girl heroine in "Punchin' Bag" isn't just a neighborhood hottie with a rep, she's a horror show who "carries a knife." These guys aren't just reliving classic sounds, they're giving them a frantic sense of dread that's perfect for our own dislocated, paranoid times.

Chaldjqldnqkfkqkdbqnwlf - Beautiful

Cage the elephant is literally the most beautiful band ever. Their music is actually so freaking gorgeous. This album is beautiful. I really love trouble, sweetie little Jean, and too late to say goodbye. This is the best band ever ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

MikeSmith84 - Bandwagon Fans need not apply.

If you only like Cage the Elephant based off of their hit Ain't No Rest For the Wicked then go find something else. This a band I love mire and more with each album. I love how they've grown and formed into their own sound. A Dan Auerbach cover album? Not so much.. There are inspirations in the sound of course, but I love the direction they're moving in. Probably one of the grooviest albums I've heard in a while. Just put it on track one and let it play.

Meluhduh - It’s a decent album!

I definitely can tell The Black Keys was incorporated throughout the album. I’ve enjoyed it so far. It may take a few repeats before I’m a crazy fan but i can totally see it being played on the radio.

Packers75 - CTE 767

Honestly CTE is awesome, all their albums are great, especially this one; no matter what people say. I got my chance to see them live last month, and it was the best performance I've seen from any band. "God don't let me lose my mind"......

Quelf Munge Spaff - Great album as a whole

While their previous album Melophobia is still better, this is close and that's saying a lot because Melophobia is AMAZING. Songs I recommend: Too Late to Say Goodbye, Cold Cold Cold, Trouble, That's Right and Portuguese Knife Fight.

Ushanka17 - What is "Trouble" about?

Does anyone else think that the guitar riff in "Trouble" sounds like a hokey halloween theme? or music from the rockstar game, BULLY?

skattles - Sad

Auerbach definitely toned this band down. Very little about this album seems like original cage material. Yes each album has sounded different but thats because of various producers. There is nothing about this that speaks of the edgy angsty southern alt rock of cage the elephant. Definitely not worth the money for a fan of the band. If you like ohio lo-fi (or the black keys), this albums for you. If you like the intensity and originality of cage's first 20 or so songs, this album is NOT for you.

MtzgraMtzgraMtzgraMtzgra - The fare weather fans reveal themselves

Sorry that your favorite song is "ain't no rest for the wicked." Sorry that you did not listen to the rest of the songs on that album to catch that they are influenced by the 60's. Sorry that you did not have a good enough ear to realize that each of the following albums made their 60's influence more apparent. Sorry that you cannot understand that Dan Auberach was the perfect partner to help them achieve their style. Sorry you cannot appreciate all they are: awesome, psychedelic, and old school. They have stuck to their roots. Might I suggest you listen to 21 Pilots instead, this album is for the fans.

Matt @LocalHlover - Thanks Shultz **Am I spelling right?**

Nice album, loved it!

T h E N inNjA - Good and Bad

The songs and band have matured and in my opinion in a good way, unfortunately their maturation was coupled with really poor production, the songs are a muddy mess, clearly engineered to make it more “accessible”, gone are the edges and fidelity, both vocally and musically, that helped define the eccentric and the colorful aspects of CTE.

Puako Lover - Heard them on Howard Sterns Rap Up Show

Great album. They were an interesting bunch on the Rap Up Show, first time I heard them. I hope Howard has them in for an in-depth interview. Good music. Highly recommend.

RhettGReviews - New Sound works

Cage the Elephant has a new sound. Although this album is good, it is not up to CTE's usual standards. This album has catchy guitar riffs, awesome vocals, and a great new single. With great songs like Cold Cold Cold, Sweetie Little Jean, Mess Around, and Too Late to Say Goodbye, this album has potential. But, unfortunately, lazy song writing, weird editing, and overall boringness has corrupted this album with songs like Cry Baby, That's Right, and How Are You True. I like the new sound, but this album could've been a lot better. I hope Cage the Elephant figures out where they want to go with there newly found sound.

Chiseltooth - Oh My...no flipping WAY

🆘👎🆘👎...r u serious? Not 4 me man, circus music sound to me...cmon now. Maybe good for coffee shop crowd while sipping some beans. NEXT..👉

AndyThomlinson - INCREDIBLE

Best album they have put out, every song is so good.

Jess Spectre - AMAZING

album of the year 😍👏🏻

Jessellpp - Best song

My favorite song is Trouble.

Peoples415 - Love this album

Although their sound here is a style change of previous albums cte has made an album where almost all the tracks are highly enjoyable and still enjoyable after many repeated plays.

Jkhgggggg - WOW

Too late To say Goodbye is amazing

TaterTots89 - ❤️❤️❤️

This is my favorite Cage album ever, and it's the album that made me fall in love with the band!! I'm very sad that there's only 10 songs on it, but they're all amazing. I've been listening to this on repeat since it came out 😶

Gabeesss - They never disappoint.

Everything they do I seem to love at least not sure for the rest but I love how artist can change and I'm all about it!

Mans dkckdmd - Deffinetly a good album, but..

I understand bands change all the time, but there is a difference between change and sounding exactly like another band(in a few songs). I love CTE and The black keys so I have no problem with this album, but I just don't want them to sound the same since I like them both for their own styles.

MyChemicalRomance (= - I love their new style!

This album is one of the few that I like at the moment and its amazing! I love their new style even though their old rock punk style is history, I still love them! All I can say is it lives up to my expectations and that's rare.

RestlessFighter - Great album!

Now I never knew too much by the band before but I gave this a listen and fell in love with it. It's a great collection of songs imo

الدطبدر - Cold 🥶

Love cold cold cold

furdo7 - Album gets better

The first time I heard it I thought it was ok, but the more I listened to it the better it became. The only thing is that I feel like they should have a couple of harder songs since it is mostly pretty chill. Anyways 👍

littlemac856 - Catchy tune

Reminds me of some of the groups from the 60's Love to crank it up in the car!

NOODLEMAN52719 - Amazing

This album has this great feel to it. It's just amazing.

Mad_Dino - Best👌🏼

This is one of my favorite albums! The music either can calm me down or gets my hyped up. Great songs and Great album!

WillTH2 - Amazing......just amazing

That is all

greened6 - How Are You True?

CtE’s first record absolutely blew me away, but the second album left me stumped. Admittedly, I came around to eventually appreciate their new sound and rather enjoyed Melophobia, but I didn’t think I’d ever like an album as much as their first. That being said, I am thoroughly surprised with how much I enjoy this album. I’m shocked to say this but I may be a bigger fan of this album than I was their first. It’s a different sound, but not necessarily a wrong one. Great job guys.

Bobbi Andrews - AMAZING

I absolutely loved it! The songs are so beautiful each in their own original way especially "Trouble" and "Sweetie Little Jean".

norcal185785 - Amazing

I love this band and I'm really surprised more people haven't heard of them!

Taco lover 99 - You NEED TO BUY

This album is really calm than the other albums which is really awesome for studying and doing homework but I'm also a big fan of cage the elephant and they never disappoint you will love this album and this band is amazing compared to today's music!!!!

Pumpkin🐰 - Oh my Lawd

TROUBLE IS THE BEST BOIIII

Bannedkaty - Addicted to Cage the Elephant's

This band never disappoints. They have mastered to refurbish the 60's with a twist of 21st sound; in a way no band has been able to pull off. The energy while playing live, is off the charts! Cage puts on a show that will have you appreciating their talent even more. They are fan friendly and appreciate all of their success, it projects in everything they put out! Their beats are a slice not to miss out on. This band it going no where, but up, up and up the charts. Keep blasting out the hits, Cage!

Rruthiiee - More than AMAZING !!!!

It's amazing I don't know what your guys are talking about this album being "okay" it's better than okay

ButterTop - Nope

Cage: “Hey Dan, can you make our stuff sound just like yours by turning the vocals and reverb way up to cover up our bad it really sounds. Dan: “You mean like the Black Keys earlier stuff? It won’t sound like a Cage the Elephant album, but you’re paying me to do it. Ok!”

ringo says peace and love - Great Album!

Cage did a fantastic job with this album. The sound changed a little bit, but it worked for them!! I'm glad they're finally getting recognized for it.

I dolnt like it - Best album ever

Get this

ryanmetallica - Sounds great

Doesn’t sound bad at all.

cpumaster930 - My Workout Jam

I love the entire CD. Not one skippable song. The first time I heard CtE was when they opened for The Black Keys in NY. Instant fan--what a performance! I'm not missing their tour for this new CD.

Thank you! Happy Birthday! - CTE > BK

Agree completely with the fans that feel like this is a BK album. Love every other CTE album. This is my least fav. Hope they return to their former glory on the next.

Omgyesyesyee2 - Still salty about the Grammys

Just sayin

Don't starve:) - A great Record

Only really falls short at the last track, besides that the record is catchy and twisted. Melophobia was a more complete and well put together record but tell me I’m pretty is still very good and brings the band into a darker rougher area that I personally really enjoy. And yes, they do sound like the black keys on here, there still CTE tho.

KevinEPV - Their best album 👌🏼

No need for an explanation 👍🏼
