Stinkfist by TOOL MP3 Info

"Stinkfist" is a 1996 song by American rock band Tool. It was the first single and music video from their second full-length album, Ænima. Due to its name and perceived subject, the song had its lyrics altered and its title changed by TV and radio programmers, who also shortened the track. -Interpretation- During an interview, Keenan stated that the song is titled after a friend of drummer Danny Carey who "isn't afraid of getting his hands dirty." He also stated that it can be interpreted as being about "fist-fucking" but "if you really look at it and really look at us and who we are, you'll understand that we go a little deeper than some write-off song about fist-fucking." Fist fucking is in actuality a metaphor for the real cause of ailment. Keenan would introduce the song during the Ænima tour as "about choosing compassion over fear." -Music video- The music video for "Stinkfist" was created with stop-motion animation techniques, and was directed by the band's guitarist Adam Jones (who had previous experience in art direction and animation). It focuses on a race of sand people who suck on tubes and swallow nails and wires that apparently hurt them and are ejected from their bodies, after which they are put in jars and treasured. Another race of mutants has entrails that are plugged into a wall. At least one reviewer compared the visuals to the works of H. R. Giger. The video achieved heavy rotation on MTV, although it was shown only with the title "Track #1" instead of "Stinkfist". MTV reasoned that "Stinkfist" is too offensive for public consumption. Matt Pinfield, the host of 120 Minutes, responded on air to the lot of email complaints from fans by saying there was nothing he could do about it. While he said "if you don't know the name of the song, go out and buy the album!" he was waving his fist in front of his face. When introducing the video, VJ Kennedy would also sniff her clenched fist dramatically before saying "Track #1". The video has been placed at number 6 in a recent feature on Scuzz of viewer's top 50 music videos of all time, and number 1 in its list of the "Top 10 Most F*ckedUp Videos". -Live Performance- Throughout 2001–2002, the band played an extended version of the song, adding lyrics from "Suspicious Minds" from Elvis Presley. Maynard sings, "Caught in a trap, Can't walk out. Because I need you too much baby. Why can't you see, what you're doing to me? Because you love me too much baby." Since 2001 the band has extended the song when played live with an additional breakdown and guitar solo. Download TOOL - Stinkfist MP3 song file at 320kbps audio quality. SloppyTuna - Amazing Artistic achievement

This album is far and away one of the most amazing artistic achievements of it’s time and still unparalleled in it’s ability to make you think and feel in dimensions you didn't even realize existed. This album isn't something to be listened to-it’s something to be experienced -again and again.

RadioHab - People Will Be Listening To This 300 Years From Now

This is an album that can not be ignored or dismissed as just another metal album. It's so much more than that. It's extraordinary. It's worthy of your time and study. If you're fairly new to music this heavy, start here, then listen to everything else. Read the lyrics. Listen loud. It's excellent therapy.

charleschuggles - Takes me back

This album ruled my high school years. It's still great. Better than almost anything new in that last two decades plus. Get this album, and then get the rest of them too. I'm getting the entire collection even though I already have all the albums on cd.

bjrisko77 - One of the best

I bought this on the day of release in 1996, saw them live a month later. This is Tool’s best and a top album of all time.

Droceankiddd - The best.

No question. THIS is their masterpiece, not the new crap. Buy this one, Undertow, Lateralus, even 10,000 days has spectacular tracks on it. But this is far and away the best TOOL album.

Jgrn19 - Unreal

This album is a must. Ftom beginning to end, it’s incredible.

Apkananna1985 - Trash

Trash

Brazilian Mike - About time ITunes

No need to review this album. It’s great

Massif Dustbin - GOAT Status

When this album was released, in the 90’s, it took me at least 5 listens to understand what my band mates were on about; there was simply too much information to digest immediately. Ænima rewards investigation and understanding of what is happening musically, and lyrically, like very few albums that have ever been recorded. A slow burner, in retrospect Ænima was the perfect introduction to polyrhythms and uncommon time signatures, as most of the tunes are based in 4/4 and rooted by visceral, tribal, chest-thumping grooves. The sum of the humor, wit, protest, and confirmation of sentiments regarding the LA experience (except for the Baked Potato!) is one of the greatest albums that has ever been recorded, and one that continually rewards upon each new listen. If it doesn’t hit you right away, or if the content seems mindlessly disparaging, give it time and look closer and you might find one of the more thoughtful and uplifting albums to emerge from the three ring circus sideshow.

Dannythedrumm3r - E

BEST BAND EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

kmcgill99 - No Words🤘

Greatest of all time

Mr. Dauterive - Wow!

As close to perfect as a rock album can get.

SaintlyHog - The Rock Gods Have Answered Our Prayers!

I was all set to get in line for the new album release and then I see they are on iTunes!! Downloading commence!! Total honesty, I’ll still buy the album!

Brent_A - .

FINALLY!!!!!!

Sacopapa - One of the greats!

This album stands up to any of the other classics, regardless of musical genre. It is singular in that it sounds unlike any other album at the time of its release, it was and remains revolutionary.

Fonzie@119 - Tool to the fullest

Since I’ve been in sixth grade (1996) bought this album at least 7 times, don’t take a trip without access to it, fkng 37 today and it doesn’t get better than this record…introduced me to Mr. Bill Hicks (besides Maynard of course, he was my “other” Messiah) and it changed my entire life! Long live Tool and James Maynard Keenan!…

Pick My Boogers Please! - Real Tool

With extended passages, moody sections, and bizarre filler tracks, Ænima is the true birth of the one we call Tool. Opiate had its glorious moments and Undertow had some hints about where they were going, but both were more grunge albums than metal, if only slightly. Ænima on the other hand, is sharper and more daring, which is what we expect from them. Great album, and a great band.

GrilledOnion - Just give it a listen

Dark, interesting, love the lyrics

Lucifer Lt - Best Tool album

I love every song on this album it’s a master piece!

Rajan S. - Pinnacle of metal

Nothin compares!

lvfreerdi3 - Brilliant masterpiece

One of the greatest albums ever made, in any genre of music. Pure art masterpiece. You can’t listen to just a song here and there. You have to set apart time and listen to it straight through and get the full experience. If you don’t like this album, you don’t like music. And that’s really the case with all of TOOLS albums.

hobojobobaggins - No song or album will surpass this album ever!

I mean, you never know, LA let alone our whole continent could be hit by massive hurricanes, and massive earthquakes could sink the USA so this album is kinda like predicting the future and that’s what makes TOOL and metal #1 over pop and blasted hip-hop🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸stay Gold metal stay gold

Jaytona Beach - Best Album of All Time

This album changed my life. Can’t believe they are finally on iTunes. Spiral out, keep going

LdyRidr - FINALLY!!!!!!!!

Finally! I friggin love TOOL! Just recenlty discovered them and I now that they're here on iTunes I'm so stoked- This album is just genius. Creative, unique, unlike any other band. YES!!!

Oh thank heaven - God bless the reverend

One of the moments in life when you’ll look back and wonder where you were when they went digital. Thou has deemed us worthy of the best and bestowed upon a new generation sounds of true greatness. Let us rock in peace, Amen.

HEY BRO! WHAT UP? - One of their best

Strongest tracks are Stinkfist and Eulogy.

128stephen - WOW!!

A must to play in its entirety without no distraction!! Epic!!

SimonaSisca - Finally.

Just finally, that’s it.

MichaelL2020 - Thanks For Letting iTunes Sell Your Stuff

Finally happened. Been waiting and checking occasionally to see if they would ever come to an agreement. Great that I don’t have to buy the remaining 2 albums I don’t own on CD from some obscure website or something. Thank you

jay12214240 - Classic.

Just buy it. No skips.

volcanogrl9 - My favorite album

If I was stranded on a desert island and could pick one album to listen to for the rest of eternity, this would be it. This is the album that made me fall in love with TOOL. Some people will never forget where they were when Kennedy was assassinated, some people will never forget where they were on 9/11, I will never forget where I was the first time I heard 46&2.

SgtGrimHazard - Pure art

If you don’t experience this album as a whole you’re doing yourself a disservice. It’s so worth it.

Munkie =) - All time greatest

All time greatest Tool album.
