Vicarious by TOOL MP3 Info

"Vicarious" is the first single from American progressive rock band Tool's fourth full-length studio album, 10,000 Days. Debuting on April 17, 2006 on commercial radio, the seven minute song entered the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart at #2. The single was unable to make an appearance on the Billboard Hot 100, only charting at #15 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart. It received a nomination for Best Hard Rock Performance at the 49th Annual Grammy Awards. The song features a 5/4 riff and describes the vicarious thrill the public receives from hearing about the misfortunes of others in the media, despite their refusal to admit it. In the June 12, 2008 issue of Rolling Stone magazine the song was included on the list of top 100 guitar songs of all time, It was ranked one-hundredth. Video The DVD released on December 18, 2007 contains an extended version of the much-delayed video counterpart for the song. The video, which is completely computer-generated, was co-directed by guitarist Adam Jones and artist Alex Grey and also features creative input from Chet Zar. Also included on the DVD are short documentaries on the making of the video and on Jones's previous work in film and television, and commentaries on the video from comedian David Cross. BrentIsAwesome - Disappointed

Just doesnā€™t do it for me. I loved everything up through 10,000 days and then they took a turn in sound that I canā€™t absorb. Same with APCā€™s latest one, Maynard is just going a different direction.

1$2!3& - Favorite TOOL album

Best purchase Iā€™ve made on iTunes to date.

Oriaz666 - TOOL

Thank you...

Grvc4 - Well.....

Itā€™s a step down from previous albums but the opening 2 songs, Vicarious and The Pot made it worth the purchase way back in the Jurassic period when it was released. The rest of the disc is like the just released single, Fear Inoculum. Dull and plodding, with some good moments here and there.

cavscout19dfl - Best Album ever

You MUST listen to this album in its entirty

Feb14Nemesis - Not impressed one bit, out of 500+ 5ā€™s

Like I donā€™t know whatā€™s worse, the fact that any generic sheeple in these reviews idolizes a track you have to album that I quite think is Rnse&Rpt ā€œMetalā€ that they claim is ā€œtop shelfā€ rock and roll...thereā€™s plenty of more invigorating music. If you are a die hard condom sniffer for ā€œmuh deep meaningā€, big rock candy mountain itā€™ll be...

givitachance - Freaking Awesome!!!!!!

Vicarious, The Pot, Jambiā€¦.just to name a few, are amazing!!! Such an incredibly heavy and talented band!!!

MissMichelle72 - The Best, Hands Down

While every album TOOL has ever made is outstanding, this is by far my favorite album to date! It literally takes my breath away at points. Invades my soul.

Codypoiencot - Well itā€™s about time

Love this album and have been waiting what seems endlessly for their music to drop here

IcyRaindrop427 - Hmmm

I was looking for Disney music and saw 10,000 Days. Now i donā€™t remember the song I was looking for.

SpaceX-Cadet - Top Shelf

98% of my music taste is EDM or deep house. Tool makes up the other 2%. This was the first Tool CD I heard and that was in 2008. This is one of a few albums that I could listen to for another decade and still love it

storm_shadow90 - Tool rocks

Most underrated tool album so good

Gerardo C. - Awesome!

ā€œLost Keysā€ is such a good song!

Ishtart - Emotionally powerful

What is there to say except that like all their other works this is exquisite and crafted to make one think. Tool on iTunes FINALLY!!!!

Honest-&-Helpful-Reviews - TOOL's Fourth Masterpiece

This album is personally my favorite album by TOOL, the fact that they have only to songs on it that aren't great is a first in their history. I love the lyrics and you don't even need to have knowledge about drugs or anything to relate. The lyrics, vocals, and music all just hit the spot. This is the greatest album of all time.

Llnmm - I did a double take when i saw this on iTunes

If it isnt tool, it isn't good

person192810 - I HAVE TO MANY TOOLS LOLšŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©

All of TOOLS albums are sophisticated masterpieces of art. Best rock band to grace this earth.

InnaGods - TOOL TOOL EFFING TOOL

Japanese submarine slammed two torpedoes into our side, Chief. We was comin' back from the island of Tinian to Leyte, just delivered the bomb. Hiroshima bomb. Eleven hundred men went into the water. Vessel went down in twelve minutes. Didn't see the first shark for about a half an hour. Tiger. Thirteen-footer. You know how you know that when you're in the water, Chief? You tell by lookin' from the dorsal to the tail. What we didn't know... was our bomb mission had been so secret, no distress signal had been sent. Heh. They didn't even list us overdue for a week. Very first light, Chief, sharks come cruisin'. So we formed ourselves into tight groups. Y'know, it's... kinda like ol' squares in a battle like, uh, you see in a calendar, like the Battle of Waterloo, and the idea was, shark comes to the nearest man and that man, he'd start poundin' and hollerin' and screamin', and sometimes the shark'd go away... sometimes he wouldn't go away. Sometimes that shark, he looks right into ya. Right into your eyes. Y'know the thing about a shark, he's got... lifeless eyes, black eyes, like a doll's eyes. When he comes at ya, doesn't seem to be livin'... until he bites ya. And those black eyes roll over white, and then... oh, then you hear that terrible high-pitch screamin', the ocean turns red, in spite of all the poundin' and the hollerin', they all come in and they rip you to pieces. Y'know, by the end of that first dawn... lost a hundred men. I dunno how many sharks. Maybe a thousand. I dunno how many men, they averaged six an hour. On Thursday mornin', Chief, I bumped into a friend of mine, Herbie Robinson from Cleveland- baseball player, boatswain's mate. I thought he was asleep, reached over to wake him up... bobbed up and down in the water just like a kinda top. Upended. Well... he'd been bitten in half below the waist. Noon the fifth day, Mr. Hooper, a Lockheed Ventura saw us, he swung in low and he saw us. Young pilot, a lot younger than Mr. Hooper. Anyway, he saw us and come in low and three hours later, a big fat PBY comes down and start to pick us up. Y'know, that was the time I was most frightened, waitin' for my turn. I'll never put on a life jacket again. So, eleven hundred men went into the water, three hundred sixteen men come out, and the sharks took the rest. Anyway... we delivered the bomb.

gunnyB123 - TOOL FOR EVEry1

The Pot & Rosetta Stoned !!!! Yes!!!!!!!

hobojobobaggins - THIS ABLUM ROCKKKkKS

Tool keep making fantastic music I hope metal becomes mainstream again pummels rap and pop. I love this album and AEnima is my favorite albumšŸŽøšŸŽøšŸŽøšŸŽøšŸŽø

RyDa4LiFe04 - Tool is the best name for this band

They are all tools

Brandonn831 - the pot is forever iconic

tool always makes my mind wonder and explore

rojageez - Still relevant

I love how ahead of its time that this album was. It is still so relevant today if not more relevant than before. Vicarious is spot on with todayā€™s world and the whole album is a work of art. You can get away with starting track 1 and listening to the whole thing without skipping ANY song or skit

KarmaTehDog - Not the Tool album I wanted in 2006

But still really good.. Rosetta Stoned is great. Iā€™ll never look at William Manspeaker the same again. I think the low point is Right in Two. Meh... Yet, the Pot is a great song to sing in the car..

Art vandaley 22 - Modern masterpiece

10,000 days and Rosetta stones are life changing pieces of music.

kmcgill99 - No Words

Greatest band of all time

Skullbrkr - Amazing album

This is an incredible album, love it.

Jc57704 - Listen at work all the time...

One of my favorite albums to jam while at work. Right in two is probably my favorite.

dudjfndj - Fleepin fire 9/10

Fleeping good album. This is defiantly a buy.

RockNRollStaaaa - 10,000 Plays

My favorite Tool album. Fantastic all the way through. Initially (since I started listening to them five years ago), I loved Aenima and Lateralus and didnā€™t care for this one, but over time, Iā€™ve come to enjoy the former two a little less (still great though), while this one has done nothing but grow on me.

Z. Eaton - After 18 years!!!

since 2001 iā€™ve been waiting for iTunes to have Tool. Finally!!! 10/10 gold

GrilledOnion - Individually good

This album has good individual songs and is great for introducing new people to tool.

Steelsoldier - Finally

All is right with the world now that TOOL is on iTunes.

HariiEinherjar - Who are you to wave your finger!?

FINALLY!

Wreck 'n Ball - Track 10 will not authorize on my computer

despite me having paid the full amount required and several attempts to authorize it. After it claims my computer IS authorized, it continues to require authorization on the first attempt to play and any and all attempts following. Please open the PATHWAY and provide me with the music I've purchased the right to enjoy. THANKS in advance.

sqmqrqh - Sqmqrqh

LovEā¤ļøyovE

nigoe - 5 STARS

Because itā€™s TOOL, duh

JasonSenior - Surreal

This is one of the greatest albums of all time of any band. Call it rock if you like, to me it's a sort of Rock/New Age hybrid and definitely transcendental.

Mention something - Reason for Album title

It took 10,000 Days for them to make a new album.

ProjectIX - Finally

Tool is back!

Apkananna1985 - Trash

Trash

Bdbjapqv - šŸ¤˜

Killer

wooggy13 - Mentally detoxifying

Tools just perfect

AD3tech - I love this album, it deep and powerful

This album is great but I personally like all Toolā€™s albums .
