I don’t feel like Harlow is stepping out of his box here and trying something new. I think he’s found a formula that works. He does wear is influences on his sleeve, but that doesn’t make it a bad album. I love Harlows music. It makes me feel confident in myself. It’s really catchy, fun, and easy to listen to. Few bangers i will have in repeat and even some slower ones i know i’m going to find myself listening to on a late night drive. Solid debut Jack. Hope you try to find your own style and sound with your next one.

Ngl, it’s the feature tracks (with the exception of Creme and Tyler Herro) that I rly like. Not bc of the features themselves, but bc they’re just better songs (imo ofc) Best song imo is fs Luv is Dro. Can’t get enough of Static Major in that song. All in all, pretty good album, can’t wait to see what’s next for Jack. (Btw Ik this review is almost a year late, but I’ve been streaming this album since it dropped, and just never got around to putting my thoughts out.)

Being his first studio album, it isn’t unusual for Jack to experiment and try new things. We already knew that bars come very effortless to Mr Harlow but he has a beautiful way of matching is lowkey slower tempo beats with a somewhat raspy but smooth lower key singing. Only thing I’d change is take the one of the two What’s Poppin songs off and replace Bryson Tiller on Luv is Dro with Chris Brown. That’s about it other than that really love his debut and he’s putting on for my city the 502!!

What’s poppin was okay for about 2 weeks. Remix came way too late to safe. Dude is not hip hop. More like Macklemore. Thankfully Eminem just dropped Music To Be Murdered By SIDE B & it’s 🔥🔥🔥.

I wish the best for Jack Harlow, but it’s not a good sign that this guy just released a new album of new material, yet the radio and everyone else is still stuck on “What’s Poppin’?” He definitely seems to be a one hit wonder in the making.
