The original play, the movie and the soundtrack really portray the essence of the Latin community in the US! The storytelling, the acting and the singing is incredible!! Amazing job done by the cast!

I had the amazing opportunity to see and early screening of into the heights. The movie blew me away. I was basically dancing in my seat for the entire movie. I was crying laughing and getting in the groove with every character. Even knowing the characters struggles firsthand. I want to see it over and over again.

First time I ever reviewed a soundtrack on apple. The movie, the soundtrack and the cast were absolutely mesmerizing, inspirational and perfect.

I was lucky enough to see an early screening and it was incredible. With the music they manage to find that perfect balance of a studio recording sound but still sounding like humans and not over auto-tuning like so many contemporary musical movies do. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the singing was live on camera.

I am still reverberating from the multi-level storytelling of In the Heights. LatínX Cultural beauty uniting people, intergenerational themes of hope for better for the future of our children, imagery and stellar performances make this a movie one I will see again and again. You will definitely feel the rhythm and passion that makes our African, Indio, Spanish personhood live, work, become educated and worship with pride.

OMG! I love this soundtrack! I am definitely a lover! When I was reading some of the comments and reviews I noticed some bratty brats noted some not so nice things about Lin-Manuel Miranda! I know it is just an opinion but keep it to yourself if it is hurtful!!! Especially online! I love you Lin and your soundtracks are one of my favorites out of all the music I listen too! As my title says Haters Hate and Lovers Love! I am glad most people love this soundtrack as much as I do!

Me being a latino kid was amazing. The movie was spectacular and it was amazing to see the people of my country being heard.

I saw “In the Heights”, the Play and fell in love. I saw the same made into a Movie and fell in love. But the music, the movie’s Soundtrack vividly brings back the scenes, and I Fell In Love Again!

I don't live in NY - so I never got to see the Broadway show! But I gotta say that this movie surpassed all my expectations and beyond! Great job Lin- Manuel!! Outstanding craft! You done it again🥰!

This is the best stage to screen adaption of a broadway musicial. WOW. The songs have their own twist that differs from the original at times but it's good twists and I love both versions. It took so many years for this to happen but I'm estatic the studio finally greenlit this and it's getting the recongition it deserves!

I wish they kept Sunrise and Everything I Know. But DRVs Carnavale is OUTSTANDING!

I saw it twice and it’s one of the best movies

I was very lucky to have actually seen the film back in April thanks to an advanced virtual screening by Warner Bros. (the studio behind this film) and I must say to everyone: you are going to love it. And this soundtrack album proves it.

A breath of fresh air. The music will get you on your feet. Showcasing the Latin culture at it’s best.

This is the best soundtrack ever and best movie EVER!!!!!

If you’re a shameless Drama Kid like me who fell in love with “In The Heights” back when it came out (oooh, hipster, liking it BEFORE it was cool!) and wondering, “should I get this soundtrack?” Yes, I think so. Yes. It’s not a remake or retread of the play — aside from a certain reprised role that’ll knock your socks off, the cast is different, and they’re all bringing a similar energy but a different “take” on the material. If you’ve seen any regional productions, you know how many Usnavis re-create the original cast’s vocal mannerisms, beats, and choices. This is not that. It’s not a remake. It’s a joyful, energetic, sincere modern re-interpretation, and the lyrics (even when tweaked, and at least one line in 96,000 *HAD* to be tweaked, if you know what I mean 😉) are as sharp and clever as ever. The only downside about the whole “not being a remake” thing? If you’ve seen the film, you know that a the creators cut a character (I miss Nina’s mom!) and a number of songs (including “Sunrise,” “Hundreds of Stories,” and “Inútil”). A lot of the tweaks serve to update the story to reflect the reality of Latinx people post 2016 (versus the original, circa 2008). A lot of those changes — especially in the lyrics — are really hard-hitting and respectable, but it’s truly a different story in places. Still with me? Good! Because if you’re prepared for some tweaks, I think you’ll come to appreciate this soundtrack as one worth blasting on your way to work, whether you live on the barrio or in the ‘burbs.

By far the best Broadway to film adaptation of a musical PERIOD. The movie was phenomenal in every way, but the dancing and the soundtrack were absolutely incomparable! So BUY THIS ALBUM!!! Your ears and heart will thank you!
