The song is just ok, IMO. Bruce seems to be struggling, and I am just not a fan of these types of English marching song sales they sometimes do. It seem a little pedestrian to me compared to many of their other songs. Maybe they were shooting for a stadium anthem they can pay at football, (SOCCER) games. If that was the goal then it is a success but I don't like it.

Great return back to form after six years. A really cool bluesy song that almost reminds me of ‘Stranger in a Strange Land’. These guys have stood the test time and are still killing it! Up the irons! \m/

Been waiting for new material from them. I love the feel of this song.

Instrumentally the band members are master musicians. But this song feels like it is really trying too hard. The composition isn’t bad but the singing seems squeezed into the verses. Bruce sounds like he is straining to hit the high notes which I’m sure are harder at this stage in his career. But when he sings at a lower octave he still sounds strong as ever. Book of Souls had some great cuts on it. This unfortunately left no lasting mark on me at all.

The magic touch, maiden doesn’t disappoint! Hope there’s more new music coming and a tour!!!!

It’s been 6 years without new material from Eddie and the boys, but this song was well worth the wait! The guitar intro is amazing, and the animation from the video (on YouTube) compliments the song well. I honestly can’t wait for the rest of the album to drop. Up the Irons!

I don’t usually don’t fall the hype because most of the time it’s just that…hype. But this song is truly a comeback for Iron Maiden. I always wanted the drums to sound in the studio like they did live. They do here. The song is a fresh direction yet still Maidenesque. The recording is top notch. I can only hope any new material from this concept will be equally as great! Well done! Up the Irons!

Good fresh song ! Sorta a Metal Led Zepplin flow to the song, to me. So many ingredients and things going on, a stomp your feet type beat in the begining, as some folk type clean guitar starts setting up the riff ! Iron Maiden never disapoints ! Up the Irons !!!

Soooooo boring. the last few albums are soooooooo slow. The older stuff has fast and slow stuff and everything in-between.

I am a long time fan of Maiden since the early 80’s. I’ve seen them a multitude of times live. As with many bands you’re not gonna like every offering they put our but this song is really great. It almost seems like a return to their roots. Not like the Prowler or Killers days but more seemingly to the Powerslave days. Well done , Up the Irons!!!!
