Cotton eyed joe is my favoite

...and I love the Rednex. Cotton Eye Joe was there only real hit but Old Pop In An Oak found it's way on to some mix cd's back in the 90's too. These songs just bring back great memories of my youth...clubbing, dating, drinking and just having a lot of fun with friends. Country fused with eurodance may not be everyones cup o' tea but I love the fast paced tracks on this album. A lot of these tracks reside on my iPod today :)

This cd is basically a novelty, putting a dance beat over some really corny hillbilly music. I've got to give Rednex credit though they pull it off well. And to top it off "Cotton Eye Joe" was a pretty big hit in Europe back in the nineties. "Old Pop In An Oak" was the follow up hit.
