This album of his is just amazing. He is so define now as an artist and his song are just amazong, and for some reason all speak to me. Hard on you - great song he wrote for his wife I love it. Wonderful - Great song means much to me. All in all just great, rob Thomas as come a long way :)

Where are the darker sounds and sides of Rob? with him talking about personal angst and anger and despair. This song is real. It rocks. It's got just the right amount of MB20's later, lighter side and then blows you away with some sweet lead guitar work. ROB YOU DONT MAKE ENOUGH OF THESE TRACKS! THIS IS YOUR BEST SIDE. 4 stars because only one heavy song

Rob Thomas is incredible. That's all I have to say. Here's what I thought of each song: HER DIAMONDS: This song is so great. It's a sad song, but the upbeat tempo keeps it from getting too depressing. Only Rob could've pulled this off. GASOLINE: Words can't describe this song. It's so honest. I feel like he means every word he's singing. I listen to this when I take walks. GIVE ME THE MELTDOWN: This song makes me want to get up and dance. It has a fabulous beat. SOMEDAY: When I listen to this song I feel like I can do anything. It inspires me to keep moving on inspite of all the hard things that are happening in my life lately. There has never been a song I could relate to more than this one. MOCKINGBIRD: The beat is amazing. The lyrics are beautiful. The singing is fantastic. Buy this song!!!! REAL WORLD '09: This is my favorite song on this album. It's hard to get used to the real world, and I love how this song captures that message and makes you smile at the same time. FIRE ON THE MOUNTAIN: This song is basicaly about when you're stuck and you can't get out. It's good to know that someone understands that feeling. HARD ON YOU: I love the backround vocals. This song is so sweet. If a guy ever breaks my heart I want him to sing me this song. STILL AIN'T OVER YOU: This is a different sound for Rob. I love it. It's really really catchy. Beware, It'll be permanantly stuck in your head. NATURAL: The first time I listened to this song I thought that it was kinda creepy, but the more I listend to it the more I realized how true it is. Other than that it has a majorly sick beat. SNOWBLIND: This is one of those songs that I wish I wrote. It's very cleverly writen, and Rob's voice is perfect for it. WONDERFUL: This song is so good. A song about how hard it is to be "Wonerful" for everyone. Rob does a good job of making it sound like he's under alot of pressure in this song. But thinking about it, he probably is. It's gotta be hard to have thousands of fans that you have to impress. CRADLESONG: I don't know if I would call this a lullaby, but I don't know what else to call it. Just buy it. The lyrics are so beautiful. GETTING LATE: This a great way to end the album. Top it off with a fantastic piece that everyone can relate to. "It's getting late, It's time to go..." The perfect end to a perfect album. I hope that you buy this album. You won't be disappointed.

I've only heard of Rob Thomas recently and on the radio, but ever since I got Cradlesong, I've been convinced: this guy is awesome! Every one of his songs on this album is a work of art. He has great song-writing skills and I think you will really enjoy this CD if you like Rob Thomas but haven't gotten this CD yet. So what are you waiting for?

Sorry Rob, but this one sounds like the last one. I can take only so much sappy sorrow songs pal. I saw you with Matchbox 20 a few years ago at Stapes Center and you guys were AWESOME! I especially enjoyed your rendition of Tom Petty's "Don't Do Me Like That" dedicated to one of your sound/lighting control guys that was off to join TP. And your cover of Tears for Fears "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" was incomparable. That version of you was full of energy. While I have enjoyed a couple of your solo efforts, most of it is too depressing for me. Anyway, I seem to be in the minority - so best of luck!

I've never written a review before, but I couldn't resist on this one. Rob Thomas is one of the best performers out there. This album is awesome. He is one sure talented dude. Snowblind, Wonderful, and Cradlesong are my favs. Thanks Rob!

Rob Thomas is seriously incredible. This whole album is full of songs that you would never want to skip. "Wonderful" is amazing, "Her Diamonds" is incredible. I can't stop listening to "Give Me the Meltdown" in the car! They're all amazing.

This album is honestly the best CD I have heard so far this year. It is very different from his first album, Something To Be.... this album is more mellow and "pop"y. However, his voice is still excellent, and he has some standout tracks. I personally love Her Diamonds, Real World '09, and Snowblind. I love all the tracks, but those are my favorites. The only two tracks I really didn't like was Natural and Fire On the Mountain, but again, that is my personal opinion. I highly recommend this album to any Rob Thomas fan. I have already listened to it 4 times today... it's awesome! It has replayability and catchy lyrics, with little monotony between tracks. You won't be disappointed!

I do not like to write or give a rate to anything, but I'm one of the biggest fan of Rob Thomas including my 3 years old son; I love his musics but this album is just perfect... Thank you so much for the inspiration of your musics this is another good example of a good work well done. Guys every single song in this album is great!!!!

This album is awesome! I'm not too big a fan of the cover art, but that's nothing.

For the past week, I have listened to this cd on my way to school AND on my way home. I have to say, he is amazing. The songs are so meaningful, and his voice is so smooth and steady. I can't wait to hear more, and this cd just came out! Songs you HAVE to get: Her Diamonds - Beautiful Meaning, nice tempo. Give Me The Meltdown - Upbeat and fun, but it still has meaning and depth. Someday - Slower and Beautiful. Mockingbird - One of my favs. Slower and SO amazing. Real World '09 - "Hey, Welcome to the real word, nobody told you it was gonna be hard. I can't believe it, I've barely started and I'm falling apart, and its hard!" Awesome. Snowblind, Hard On You, Wonderful, and Fire On The Mountain are also great songs.

I have an illness that is usually connected with Lupus. I know exactly how she feels and the way my parents and loved ones feel. LOVE THAT SONG!!!! I cry everytime I hear it!

This album is phenominal. I haven't really given Rob Thomas much attention considering my opinion on him. I thought he was over produced and self centered, but this album gives him the credit in order to have those two qualities. He has amazing talent and it really shines through in this album. If you dont plan on getting the whole album, my recomendations are: - Her Diamonds - Real World '09 - Fire on the Mountain - Snowblind - Cradlesong

Rob Thomas is definitely one of the best in this generation. Every album he's released, whether it be with Matchbox Twenty or solo, has been top notch, and this album is no different. In my opinion, it's even better than his first solo album. There's not one song on here that I don't like. Believe me, you want this album!! First review!!

It's hard to find a Rob Thomas song that doesn't make you feel it's intended emotions. Her Diamonds and Give Me the Meltdown remind us that love isn't always pretty but it's always worth it. Rob sings from the heart and that alone is a rare talent in a time of superficial music.

Wow, this album is amazing. Better than his first or any Matchbox Twenty, and thats not dissing those at all. This is just such a good complete album, I could listen to it over and over again. Best songs: give me the meltdown, someday, mockingbird, fire on the mountain, snowblind....

I had the privilege of listening to this album beforehand, and I have to say - it's incredible. From the first handful of songs I was hooked into 'Cradlesong'. Gasoline and Someday would have to be my two favorites from this album so far. This album demonstrates classic Rob Thomas and should be appreciated for the greatness that it is.

snowblind is one of the best songs ive ever heard and the rest of the album is great. someday always makes me want to cry and her diamonds is a great song.

Look, Rob Thomas is a great singer, and I like this album, but I liked Something to Be better. Now, I liked his work in Matchbox 20 better than that, but this album is still pretty good. By the way, don't judge the album by the singles, like with many albums, there are good songs not released as singles.

I don't know what it is about his voice but everytime I hear him i get goosebumps! Best cd ever! I would definitly recommend Cradlesong!
