This is literally the most epic thing I have ever heard. I couldn't ask for a more perfect soundtrack to accompany the BEST miniseries in the whole world. Oh my god. I seriously can't keep myself from singing the tune wherever I am, and the show literally made me cry. FANTASTIC, Hans Zimmer. FANTASTIC.

The soundtrack is as good as the series. I love them both

This year (2015) my high school marching band use the song “Honor” as our ballad. The very first time the band played through the song i knew it was going to be epic. When the song ended for the very first time played by our marching band in our rehearsal room i looked to my left to my best friend and we both just stood there in awe of how amazingly beautiful this song was. Fast forward a couple of months and there we were standing in our sets moving from set to set as we heard our band perform the song “honor” for the very last time ever. To this day i still get chills when i listen to this song. Our show was dedicated to the military and all of those who have, are, and will fight for our country. i don’t think any other song than “Honor” could of put forth that message that we wanted to portray and deliver to our audience. This whole soundtrack speaks louder than any words ever could and that is truly magnificent.

Worth every penny and the series is a must see!

Always a fan of Zimmer and this just makes me more of one. The emotion and humanity captured by them all is awesome.

There are some movies or series that have good scores . This one is absolutely amazing . When you watch a movie the music should be behind moving it and this just does that . I can't say enough on how good this is . I would highly recommend it .

I've been wanting to watch this forever and the minute that opening French horns, I knew this would be epic. Absolutely amazing work!

Absolutely beaufiful

As a symphonic and orchestral enthusiast, I feel that this piece encompasses joy, mourning, relief, and sadness all in a single four-minute display. It is an incredibly emotional song, making wonderful use of the mid-range horn solo and the blending of parts. It allows the listener to associate it with whatever they please and let their imaginations and emotions run free.

The score for the pacific really hits home, in that it captures the audience in the mood of the scene. Although it's not even on part four, the music for the pacific connects the action, the romance and the complicated emotions that, inevitably, is a result of war.

This sondtrack proves why Hans Zimmer is one of the best composers alive today the tracks Honor, With The Old Breed, Landing Peleliu, and Sledge's Humanity are simply stunning. Looking forward to the rest of the series on HBO. nothing but 5 stars all the way simply wonderful score. great work guys.

I love WW2. I love to learn about it and play the best WW2 games around. I watch Band of Brothers. Although I have not yet seen The Pacific, I am looking forward to seeing it for the first time. When I heard the main title music for this show on iTunes, I was just addicted. The main title music in my opinion fits the theme of the show: WW2 Pacific. Just like the main title music for Band of Brothers. That fits the theme of the show as well: WW2 Europe. I absolutely love the main title music for this show. And I'm looking forward to the day I finally watch The Pacific. This is coming from a 14 year old. P.S: in graduating 8th grade in 6 days. So again. LOVE THE MUSIC.

Great soundtrack, especially the main title. Although the mini series should support both Japanese and American views instead of making the Japanese soldiers look like pigs in a slaughter house. Not once did I see an American soldier die from anything besides suicide.

It was a long time coming, after Band of Brothers - to finally pay homage to those who fought and died for our country on the other side of the world. The Pacific soundtrack is a truly remarkable arrangement of songs that reflect the Hell that they had to endure during, and long after the war. The movie series also was incredible, just like Band of Brothers. I find myself replaying the song "Honor" when I think of my grandfather, who served in the Navy during WWII and was a part of the greatest generation. This album is definitely worth purchasing - you will not be disappointed.

man, this soundtrack is a masterpiece, hans zimmer has done it again. the main title is so powerful. if this doesnt win any awards,then shame on every film critic in the world. zimmer has mastered everything from call of duty to the pacific. he is an absolute master of his work.

“Honor” has me crying all hours of the day. What a fantastic album overall.

I've been staying away from the Zimmer camp lately, as I've favored some new composers like Josh Kramer and Nico Muhly, but I am thoroughly enjoying this score. It has a lot to live up to after the first Band of Brothers score by Michael Kamen. I still need to listen to this more to decide which one is better, but this one is definitely worth buying the whole thing - you really can't go wrong with 25 tracks for 12 bucks. I just hope the series doesn't disappoint - I have HUGE expectations!

Everytime I am about to lose a little faith in Hans Zimmer, he puts out a stunning piece of work such as this. Even though this is a collaboration with other artists, "The Pacific" is a great testament to the musical genius of Hans Zimmer. Quite possibly my new favorite soundtrack.

Coming from a line of soldiers in the family dating back to the revolutionary war I'm a big history fan and this music just makes the miniseries amazing iv watch this series about twenty times along with band of brothers and they both never get old

It was simply the greatest television series of all time !!!.....very powerful,emotional,heartbreaking and hated to see it end.An incredible series by Spielberg and Hanks !!!! Semper Fi !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wonderful arrangements that stir and evoke a range of emotions. It is hauntingly beautiful, powerful and triumphant. Well orchestrated and complimentary to every part in this epic HBO mini-series I've watched and enjoyed so far. Kudos to the compositional team and musicians! WELL DONE!

Hans Zimmer once again shows that he is at the top of his game... I just got done watching part one and it was awesome. On top of that this is my new favorite soundtrack... I've listened to half the album already and i love it. Five stars all the way...

Simply awesome. Main title is chilling in its emotion and tribute to the Marines.

As a WW2 enthusiest and little bit of a history guy about the war, and a trumpeteer, i have to say that the music goes extremely well with the show. I wish that i could get a score for this music...the music fits the subject of the show along with the opening music introduces the show greatly. The music compliments the show, as well as the show compliments the music.

I read some other reviews and i think there right that it was good and it had a philisophical pats of the story that was in it that was nice and from the day i whatched al ten of the mini serious epesoids i love the music it just made me com. One more thing i will never think of world war two the same way ever again

I dont listen to a lot of soundtracks constructed from commposers but this is amazing. I can only imagine how great this going to pair up with the mini-series on HBO. Buy this, listen too it, enjoy it, you won't reggret it at all.

Great music. The best miniseries I've ever seen. As a former Infantry Marine, this series and music hit close.

I love this score but unfortunately am having trouble downloading it to my ipod after purchasing it. I'm a public high school music teacher and I can't wait until the regular and edited scores come out for band and orchestra. We've already tackled Band of Brothers with much success and my students are dying to go after this one too. I love that these works can get my kids interested in "classical" music. This music, along with the mini series, have been such a great gift. Thank you!
