I love this album, and Pumped Uo Kicks is a great song despite the hate. Listen idiots, singing about a dark topic isn't encouraging the behavior. It's authoritarian to say that because of the material in a song, it shouldn't be allowed to be played. It's art damnit, just like some whiny white girl singing about all her ex girlfriends is art. You don't censor really great Greek art that has nudity, death, and sex in it do you? Why should be hate this song, has it really inspired a bunch of shootings? I don't think so. To be honest if the people are so concerned about shootings, go actually do something about it instead of complaining on line. Go out and get some self defense classes, or fundraiser for better security in your school, or get a concealed carry permit or buy a gun so you can protect yourself.

Foster the People is an incredibly talented and unique band. I'm so glad I found them a couple years ago. I have been to three of their concerts and they are one of my favorite bands!! My personal favorite from this album is Pumped Up Kicks, and I know that it's more mainstream, but this was the first song I heard from them which brought me here to the rest of the album. For all of you that are complaining and saying Pumped Up Kicks is about someone shooting their peers (some of you thinking it's about the Columbine shooting) be mature, get over it and grow up. This is an amazing and creative song that I've loved since it was released! This album is totally worth the buy!!

This album isn't for everyone, but if you give it a chance, you might just end up loving it. It's got a little pit of party (pumped up kicks & call it what you want), a little love (miss you & I would do anything for you), and a little bit of easy listening (warrant & Helena beat). I didn't like any of the songs at first, but I was recommended pumped up kicks by genius before the band got big on iTunes, and like all good albums, it drew me in with captivating lyrics, and creative and intuitive music. If you give even one song an honest chance I promise you'll absolutely love this album.

so I really wasnt a fan of their hit song, "pumped up kicks" but I heard of of their songs in Gossip Girl, and I had to have it. which was the "Houdini" one, and I really liked it. Couple of other tracks I liked as well, like "Dont Stop". I wasn't a fan from their hit song that got them popular, but when I heard the others, they were much better. Very alternative and indie, and it's so difficult finding music like this. Definitely a band that I really like, try their other songs :)

I cannot get past acts like FtP and Gotye. My friends rave about FtP like they are musical geniuses. Really? can't find anything I really enjoy about this CD. It is not unique and really only sounds unique because they've decided to take their musical influence from pop music circa 1980 to 1986. All of this hasbeen done before, just decades ago. The fact that these guys take musical inspiration from one of the worst periods in musical history says alot. One day, this CD will be where it belongs. Rotting on the trash heap that is known today as "indie rock."

AwaitingGreatness - Keep Calm and Call It What You Want.

This album was awesome! Pumped Up Kicks seemed to take the world by storm, but when I had listened to all the other songs that Foster The People had to offer, I was stunned by how amazing they really were. My favourite songs on the whole album were probably Call It What You Want and Colour On The Walls. Foster the People has a fun and dare I say it-groovy-sound, that I couldn't help but adore, almost reminiscent of Jason Mraz's We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things. but with more of a beat. What I liked most about this album, about this band, was their lack of sexual reference and the fact that they didn't write their songs about partying. Besides Downtown, I found almost no reference to either of these things. Foster the People has created a catchy and upbeat masterpiece, songs appealing to almost anyone, that will last for years to come. I cannot wait for their next album and I can only hope that unlike many other musicians, that they do not try to change their sound. Stay awesome guys! :D <3
