My favorite Linkin Park album was released on my birthday? Wow, so amazing! This album is amazing! Numb is my favorite song by Linkin Park, a long with In The End.

Linkin Park is one of my most favorite bands of all time. This album was the first cd I ever owned and highly recommend it to everyone.

Linkin Park is really awesome and I like every album. To anyone who is struggling with depression just help is always available for you, whether it be a family member who you can really trust and rely on or a friend. Someone is always listening. Sometimes things can get the best of you but always remember you’re not alone.

LINKIN PARK will always be my favorite! I’m going through a heart break and can’t get over her. She was a girl like no other, but this band is something like no other it won’t bring me heart aches or heart breaks it’ll only bring me happiness and a world to believe in and to have worth. Chester maybe sadly gone, but he is a true legend others can think whatever they wanna think. Chester is a true legend and for the sake of him being a legend he will always be a legend to all of us here and out there. Chester will never die in my heart. Keep the spirit up everyone! People need to know who this legendary band is… they need to know🖤

The follow-up to Hybrid Theory, Meteora to me has always sound hard edged early 2000s Nu Metal I grew up with when I was roughly 6 years old. Recently buying this on disc, the cuts all have the traits that made their original sound appealing at that point in time. Listening to them today, the lyrics are these very angsty moody feeling and emotions from what an adolesant would feel. The closing track Numb felt a bit too angsty resulting in a more dated sound and lyrics that don't really speak to me. I know millennials always talk about growing up with Hybrid Theory. But I personally always enjoyed the material on Meteroa. Most of the singles on here is what blew my little 6 year old mind hearing rap and metal/rock influences in the mix. Of course, now knowing today that bands such as Rage Against The Machine and Faith No More were doing the rap-rock thing ten years prior to Linkin Park, I still enjoyed revisiting some early 2000s nostalgia from the Nu Metal movement.

If your looking to buy the album just do it and you will be happy, those of you that want just a couple songs, I recommend numb, faint, figure.09, and hit the floor.

This brings back so many memories of when I was an angsty teen but I didn’t feel like a rebel listening to LP; it just conveyed how I felt. The track Nobody’s Listening was something I felt like I could relate to. Asking for help but nobody being there or able to listen. These early Linkin Park albums are very special to me. Although my music tastes have changed drastically over the years I will always have a bond with Meteora and the self titled LP albums. Fantastic music in its accessibility for what sounds like hardcore to a casual pop listener. The band did a great job taking a hardcore sound into the mainstream and striking a chord with their tight chops, relatable writing, and rap influences peppered throughout. Chester forever. RIP. Wish he was still here. I was listening Chester.

This album is good; I actually prefer it to Hybrid Theory. However, it’s very... derivative of their first album. “Easier to Run” is very similar to “Crawling”, and “Session” is a more serious, dramatic take on “Cure for the Itch”. Additionally, many of the songs on the record sound similar to each other (“Lying From You”, “Hit the Floor”, “Figure.09”). Now to the good. “Don’t Stay” is a great and fresh way for Linkin Park to open the album while communicating to the listener: “We added heavy sauce to these songs”. “Faint” is a fast pace flurry of pure action, and it’s totally awesome. And then there’s “Numb”. I don’t even think I need to explain that song to you. While derivative, Numb is definitely a solid album from LP. However, its lack of originality (compared to other LP albums) makes me slightly prefer The Hunting Party to it.

My biological father had an old deluxe copy of Meteora I found in my moms old boxes from before I moved to my new home. This was 4 years ago, and to this day Meteora is one of my favorite albums of all time. The emotion put into every song, the striking chords of the guitar, the lyrical meanings, literally every aspect of this album is just amazing. R.I.P. To Chester, condolences from Chesapeake VA. LP will forever live in my heart.
