Wow i was just blown away by this cd. By far one of the best rap cds i have ever herd! Seems like every track is so different and with such powerful messages too. Finally a rapper that doesn't just brag about money & women.... He talks about his own struggles with sobriety and touches on deep subjects its something new and refreshing. was impressed to say the least. A must buy album in my book.

I love Macklemore. He speaks his mind and I always listen to him when I'm down. I'm listening to him right now. He's not like most rappers he doesn't always speak about his problems. He talks about the world problems and gets people to understand them. I love this album and it's definitely worth getting.

I love Thrift shop and Wing$

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are a special talent; Not the average rapper. Inspirational words, fantastic rapping in itself, an upbeat sound to get my day going; Macklemore brings it. Ryan Lewis can produce some sick beats... It's a match made in heaven. I love "Can't Hold Us", "White Walls", and "Thrift Shop". But my absolute favorite in the whole album is "Ten Thousand Hours". An amazing song. It really has a message in it, a touching feel, and a great intro to The Heist. Don't take it from me- Listen for yourself. I find myself singing it often; it is such a skillfully produced song, and the ending really knocks YOU into the ball park. Phenomenal job, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. You are what I've wanted to listen to. Keep doing what you do.

Without hyperbole, one of the best overall albums of the last decade.

Still can’t believe that this won over King Kenny, but still nonetheless the goofy yet self-conscious raps Macklemore raps on are always fairly entertaining. “Thrift Shop” is easily the best song on the album, but songs like “Wing$”, “White Walls”, and “Can’t Hold Us” are pretty good too. There’s a lot of duds, but overall this is a good album. BY FAR the best one Macklemore has ever made.

Macklemore in my opinion is the best rapper out there. He doesn't brag about how much money he earns or anything. He writes from the heart. If there was a sixth star, he deserves it. Keep on rolling!

I can't stop listening to this album, his raps are so catchy and quick witted. My favorites are can't hold us, thrift us, castle, and ten thousand hours. I also recommend getting the deluxe album, more songs that way!!!!
