Stephenie loves the 80's - Awesome Album!!!

The National continues to get better with every album they release. I've seen these guy perform live and they rock. This album is everything I expected. Love Matt and Aaron's lyrics! I've listened to this album so many times.

Rodriguezayu - Couldn't really expect much

After high violet couldn't really expect much. This album is good. Just got tired of it really quickly. As in an album as high violet that i can listen to over and over again.

jacksoncage19 - Reaching Across Decades, Version 2

AZ Spots is not related to me I swear. But, I am a 66 year old guy who was about to review this incredible band that I discovered only a year ago I am loathe to admit. They are one of America’s great bands and Matt Berninger’s vocals are mesmerizing. Buy the videos of you have not seen them live yet. And go see or buy Tom Berninger’s award winning Documentary, Mistaken For Strangers. The National. One reason to go on living.

Trouble Will Find Me - The National

God this litterally one of the best albums I have lisend to, the singing just sticks to me. I think his voice really brings alot to the album, if it had been anybody elses voice it would not have been the same. the music is beautiful and meaningful. its just a great album all around

Headless Petie - One of the Greatest Albums in the Past Decade

One of my favorite albums of all time by my favorite artist of all time.

JSS64 - Great music will find you

I bought High Violet on the strength of "England," a fantastic song. Though there are other good songs on that album, it is fairly dull in spots. Not so with Trouble Will Find Me. Great production and songs that take you from simple chords to soaring, intricate melodies are the norm here. None of the songs are predictable, but they are infectious, haunting, and endlessly listenable. I am glad I bought this album---it is a great one.

Elizabethasaurus - Puuurrrfection!

I've been a fan for years and I didn't think this album would top High Violet… Trouble Will Find Me is an album with such sophisticated depth, all their albums have depth but Trouble Will Find Me is a polished sincerity that showcases the evolution in such a mature manner. It’s a beautiful album, definitely worth every penny. I was so lucky to seem them perform this past fall at Red Rocks in Colorado; I highly recommend not only this album but also all their albums (especially High Violet)!!! They truly deserve their recent surge in mainstream popularity!

Danvidoeman - Been checking in with you guys

great album, I agree with the critic, your voice gets better and better. Not a song I wouldn't want to hear! Can't wait to see your shows.

Calvin|Hobbes - Wonderful album

I can't get enough of this album. The lyrics, vocals and music are all exceptional.

iFlifeWereAjaneAustenNovel - Phenomenal record!

I like many just happened to catch them this weekend on SNL & I was in love immediately. I picked it up and I can confidently say this album is in my top 10 of my life. His deep voice mixed with melodic harmonies is soul shattering but somehow it picks you up and puts you back together with more hope than before. Its hard to choose a favorite song on this album!! I didn't have to skip ahead because of a crappy track which happens way too much these days. It feels like these guys really have a heart for this and it shows. I'm a fan for life now!!

Caid ash - Best album yet

Heavenfaced gives me chills every time

TragicallyHip1984 - Did they have a track on the AMC show Turn?

I shazaamed it and now its not there anymore, i know they do one song but they did one towards the end of an episode i can't figure it out HEEEELP!!!

ArtisticallyUrs - Great Band

I really like High Violet, it's probably their best album yet. But there is something about Trouble Will Find Me that boggles my mind. I was always curious about how low, depressing, and dark can this band go. This album delivers exactly that. The darkness comes in the lyrics this time than in the music like in other albums. it's a very depressing record but it is an amazing one!! I can't stop listening to Demons, Graceless, Heavenfaced and I Need My Girl!!

LongLiveyourlife - Amazing Album

I love all the songs

Jala tass - Amazing

In my top 5 for 2013. Buy it.

Chelle9 - Love this album

Amazing music that envelopes you and takes you to another place. This is one if the best albums I've purchased this year.

Oeuehqbskci - Had a change of heart

At first, I was disappointed with this album, but it's really grown on me and now I love it the more I listen to it.

Pennywacker - What a beautiful surprise!

I have eclectic taste when it comes to music. I don’t know a lot technically about music, but I know what I like and what speaks to me. Oddly enough, I heard of The National through The Mindy Project, and thought to check them out. One listen to Trouble Will Find Me and I am a fan for life. This music is transcendent. It immediately soothes my soul. Thanks for the medicine.

agfreeves - I already like it

It's good music, I think it's really well thought out and they know what they're doing. I haven't even heard all of their stuff but I know I'm really gonna enjoy it.

nickel3030 - Entire new aproach at righting smash tracks!

I loved this band since Boxer but this album has the great simple yet multilayered catchy songs. Its like Boxer added w the sophistication of High Violet. Also Trent Reznor stole the Grammy from this record. Its a classic, if there will be a category of such soon. Haha

Purple Frogs - My favorite album this year,

I am a fan of The National and have all their albums, but I was very pleased with the direction of this newest effort. It has the classic melancholy vibe that Berninger is known for, but the songs seem a bit more catchy than anything they have assembled to this point. They haven't sold out and gone pop, and the production quality of this album justifies their rise from the strictly alternative vibe that once relegated them to obscurity. Go see them live, one of the few really great bands left in the days of autotune!

pnuematic - wow, the best one yet

I'm a huge National fan…oh, that voice. This album is stunning. So twisted and heartfelt, I can't stop listening over and over.

MMeyun - Hard To Find

They saved the best for last.

GetGolden - Unlimited amounts of praise

I heard the national preform " This is the last time " on The tonight show with jimmy Fallon & I just cannot. How, why? They're absolutely amazing.

KCOLLA - Best Album I've ever heard in my life!

Every song is amazing!!!! Everything about this album is pure perfection! I've introduced this group to all my friends and they are all in love! ROCK ON!!!!!!

Moviefanatic1001 - Brilliant but very depressing music

You have to be in the right mood to listen to any given National album. However, I feel that Trouble will Find Me is their most darkest album yet. It's very eerie mixed with melancholic undertones that paint a rather dark picture. Sometimes it's enlightening and thought provoking other times I feel as though I am being pushed to the brink of an existential crisis. They're brilliant and the lyrics are eloquently sung throughout each verse but once again it's very subjective and you have to be open to that kind of music. I wouldn't listen to this album if you're having a bad day or are getting over a breakup.

jamezqua - keep it going

I for one am glad to hear The National keeping the sound that made them the success they are. Don't change a thing. Fools on here saying that there's nothing new with The National, tell me, what are you doing with yourselves?

TomBeaulieu - The National: Trouble Will Find Me

Great album. Cant stop listening to it. I hope they win a Grammy for it!

emilyforafriend - Doesn't disappoint

Very good record. I liked previous cuts, too. However I'm missing driving tracks like "Mistaken For Strangers" and other elements of The Boxer that I love so much!

EpitomeofEverything - Great

Best Songs: All of them. They keep getting better and better.

litespeed6 - How can you not love this

Their style is truly unique. The depth is beautiful and if you are not listening on headphones you have truly missed half of the music,

TheNotoriousVoice - The Absurdity of Fame

This album's narrative sees Berringer and the rest of the band reluctantly accept their new-found fame, and proceed to drift about their confounding existence exploring the frightening confrontations that arise from recognizing "people now know us", and all of the complex emotions that compound and accompany such a stark realization. 'Trouble Will Find Me' is a brooding existential masterpiece; filled to the brim with melancholy and longing. It is a quintessential exploration of the absurd pathos of fame, and will quite assuredly stand the test of time as one of the greatest albums of the last 20 years.

Laura Fleischmann - Love The National

And I cannot. stop. listening. to. this. album. Saw them live at Lolla - phenomenal. Can't wait to see them again..

dclrunner - Stunning

Just discovered The National and I can't stop listening to this album. Can't wait to spend some time with their previous work.

Rice chickens - Great album

10/10 awesome album

Roger44477 - Removed their best song from iTunes

By far the best song from this amazing band was Exile/Vilify. For some reason in the past month, this song was completely pulled from not just Apple Music, but iTunes as a whole. (For some reason the rather poorly done covers of it are still available however.) and Apple being Apple, removed everyone's downloads of it. A great loss for music lovers

Bad bowler - So refreshing

I haven't even thought of doing a music search in years. Music today is the worst in history of man kind. This group who I saw on SNL in my opinion is fantastic. I can put on my head phones, close my eyes and tune out. They're wonderful

thename'semilybutcallmeegreens - SO GOOD

ugh. amazing.

FarNorth49 - Grower

I bought this album on CD completely on a whim, not knowing anything about the band but I had heard some good things about the album. At first, I thought, eh this is okay. There were a few tracks (Demons, Don't swallow the cap) they caught my attention but that was it. And to be honest, I found lead singer Matt's voice to be somewhat of a bore. However, something told me not to quite give up on it yet. So I played it a few more times, and each time I found something new, or a new favorite track. Soon, I was completely consumed by it. Matt's voice was no longer a bore but subtle and enchanting at once- considering I am a huge fan of Florence Welch, I'm used to power house vocals- and it sucked me in. Subtly can be a beautiful thing. The orchestration of each song, the lyrics- now each time I listened I had a new favorite, and even now as I listen to it, I find something new to love. This is an amazing album, and honestly one of my favorites. The National are one of my favorite groups now- I only regret not catching on earlier, because I missed what was surely a great live show from them. I just hope they'll be around again. And also, the drumming is insane. Once you really listen to this album, you realize how great it is. Okay, done now.

bees flew out of my head - Best band on the last 10 yrs

Awesome. One of those albums you can listen to from track one to the end and not want to skip a song. I first discovered The National when they released Mistaken for Strangers and have been an avid fan since. If you appreciate the art of creating meaningful music, you need to get into The National.

Emunti - 16

I'm 16 and know that this is music!

Diyadiva - So dark and emotional

I originally listened to mistake for strangers in high school though it originally came out long before I had entered. The lead singer has such an amazing steady voice it gives me chills. I can see why some fans are disappointed, but I personally love this album. It's dark and so national-y sounding. They are here just in a different mood. I love how every song evokes emotion out of you.

Montyak 1 - Wow

I'd never heard of these guys. Jason Isbell mentioned them on FB. So I gave a listen. Beautiful

mfpmary - deep meaning

I have tons of music, including the previous The National lps. I think this album cuts deep, giving lots of heart wrenching after thoughts. I listen to this and see my life, in all its glory and defeat. This Is The Last Time pulls it all together. Outstanding effort. Best yet.

Matt tabs - the voice

Great album though it takes some listing to fully appreciate. I like the less rated tracks check out hevenfaced. "lets go wait out in the fields with the ones we love". I think we can all agree we love the voice and the hauting lyrics.

Zoe Hutchins - Fantastic.

Simply brilliant. There is not one track I skip over, and this, in my opinion, is the greatest album they have created thus far. My personal favorites are This Is the Last Time, Heavenfaced, Pink Rabbits, Slipped, Sea of Love, Hard to Find, and I Need My Girl. I would recommend buying the entire album. Pure euphoria to the ears, and a must if you like at least one of their songs.

jozmags - One of a kind. Genius.

If you listen (really listen) all the way through this album and you are not moved, there is something really wrong with you. Get your head checked, clear your mind, put on your headphones, close your eyes and sink into it. You will be taken on a dreamlike journey that is both refreshingly honest and emotionally intoxicating that it will leave you wanting more. There is something about Berninger's unassuming voice that has a way of drawing you in and putting you at ease—especially given the depressing, dark subject matter. If Morrissey and Joy Division had a baby they would call it The National. This is absolutely their best album to date. A real album too—not one hit filled in with 9 crappy songs—which is a rarity these days. There is nothing like The National out there today—period. The simple-minded mainstream radio listener I'm sure would disagree. And yes, music is subjective, but do yourself a favor and subject yourself to this one. And whatever Pink Rabbits are, I want some.

lao tzu's fart - 'Beauty is vapour from the pit of death'

I first heard the national on their alligator release. I have been listening since. Musically nothing has changed, which is okay with me I would hate to watch them slowly melt into that radio mumble like the kings of Leon did. It's the lyrics & the mood that really get me on this album. You're either there or you're not.

yoshimojo - Getting better over time!!!

Album is solid from start to finish. One of the best albums I have purchased this year thus far!!

nvalentin27 - Stunning

This album is the The National's crowning achievement. Full of raw vulnerable honesty, you'll find yourself listening to this album on repeat. Enjoy.
