This is one of my favorite gorillaz albums i like songs like clint eastwood 5/4 and man research this album is worth your money

It’s kind of sad that Clint Eastwood overshadows this entire album, I believe that Clint Eastwood isn’t even close to the best song on this album. Almost every song on here is amazing

First off, I'd like to thank Gorillaz for helping me clear out so much space on my IPod. Overall this whole album is just random noise. It's basically semi-amelodic and awful. All of my most pretentious friends with the worst taste in psuedo-intellectual music like Gorrilaz and it's no surprise. This album sounds like the worst parts of early (and all of current) Beck with a touch of Nine Inch Nails thrown in. None of that is good for my ear holes. I couldn't even see my way clear to keeping the two songs I'd heard before (Clint Eastwood and 19-2000). The remix of 19-2000 was slightly better as the bubble sounds on the original were just awful, but it's definitely not good when the, usually worse, remix is the better version. I'm also not impressed that they dabble in so many genres. When you do many genres poorly, what's the point right? The Punk songs were slightly better, but even the best of those were barely keepable. In the end there's only 3 keepable songs. M1-A1 is the only even slightly redeemable track and the highest rated song on the album. I'm a huge fan of Day of the Dead and I love the intro. The punk tune that is attached is also fairly tolerable. Even so, the best song on the album only clocks in at a just pretty-good 3 stars. There's also two 2 star songs in Punk and the remix of 19-2000. All the rest are throwaways.

There's nothing else that sounds like Gorillaz. They mix funk, hip-hop, punk, and blues in a experimental fashion. Loved in 2001, just listened to it the other day, still thoroughly enjoyed. Not too many other albums I can say that.

I am a HUGE gorillaz fan! I have seen them live once and have bought ALL of their work put out so far. I love D sides and demon days. All the other albums are fantastic BUT nothing is better than this album. I ONLY wish iTunes would of included the other two songs on this album. Where is Dracula, and the ultimate track on this cd left hand Suzuki method? Wth iTunes?!? Don't make me pay for an album that isn't even complete.

Any Gorillaz fan will know this album, simply because it is the best! Nothing is better than their very first album, the amazing and original Gorillaz sound is reminiscent to the sounds of Blur (thank you, Damon Albarn!) and is great for alternative, rock, and ambient fans. From the sweet and strange layers of "Double Bass" to the mild, airy and enjoyable sounds and lyrics of "Slow Country", to the easy, smooth and addictive "19-2000" to the big boy: their first hit, and an edgy combination of alternative and rap, "Clint Eastwood", which anyone with a good memory of the early 2000's would remember listening to on the radio. Gorillaz self titled is a great starter album for new fans, and a sweet memory for the senior fans. It's easy to get addicted to their sound, purely from this album. It has a few hits, but many overlooked gems (my personal favorite being Slow Country). If the diverse, colorful, and lore-filled fictional world of Gorillaz doesn't get you immediately hooked, then I guarantee this album right here will!

Gorillaz is my first and favorite band, and this album is one of their best. This is some quality music. I think Double Bass is my favorite song on this album but it’s hard to decide when there are songs like 19-2000 and Tomorrow Comes Today. Must buy

This is very unique, I’ve never heard anything like this it is amazing.

Something that is amazing about gorillaz is that you can't define them. Whether the song is hip hop, trip hop, alternative, pop, etc. they have so many different kinds of music but there's only one thing that is the same, it's all creative and great.

I use to listen to this album with my dad when I was just a little kid. Then I forgot about it until now and even though I’m 28 I remember every single one of these songs! This album is amazing, I’ve been listening to it on shuffle for now my 4th day straight haha

This was surprisingly great for a debut album as originated with Tommorow Comes Today, Clint Eastwood, and 19-2000 are known well as classics, but the songs 5/4, Sound Check(Gravity),and M1 A1 are the best on the album.There is a little disappointment to this as the songs Dracula, and Left Hand Suzuki Method are not in included

The song "Clint Eastwood" introduced me to this band and I was very pleasantly surprised at how much of an original sound they have, there's nothing else you can find like the Gorillaz

I had this album in my Library for as long as i can remember, but recently i noticed that it was missing a few tracks including the big one of the album 'Clint Eastwood'. I then had to repurchase the entire album. And now, just like G Sides by Gorillaz, there are now songs on the album that were not there before.

Have been into Gorillaz for years and have to say that out of all their albums, their S/T is still my favorite. It has a plethora of great songs that are diverse in sound and really define what Gorillaz is like to me. My personal top 5 songs in no particular order are Sound Check, Tomorrow Comes Today, Clint Eastwood, M1 A1, and 5/4.

First of all, great album. Easy five stars. ( I know I’m late ) Second of all, why do I have certain songs that weren’t listed? I have the song Dracula which I just figured out that it’s suppose to be on the G-Sides album. AND I also have Left Hand Suzuki Method, which was also on G-Sides. Please help.
