Im so glad i found this album with all of the crap out there today. All of the songs are good. All of them. My favorite part is that its not just some guy talking. It actually has MUSIC. It has fresh beats and a choruses that litterally blow me away (such as Remember The Name & Petrified). Thank you
this is a pretty sweet album… why is this the only one realized on iTunes by them… Where did THEY go cause i wish they made another album cause this one is great… what happened
If you're sick of mainstream rap, if you're sick of all the pointless subjects and bad rappers, if you really just want some catchy and innovative music, then this is the album to go to.
I'm an mma fighter and listen to this song every time I train
This is a classic album. If you are fan of hip hop or just good music in general this should be in your collection. I can't imagine anybody who wouldn't like this. Especially love the beats on this.
This song is the best. They play Remember the Name every time the Richland Rams enter the field. ( by the way , the Richland Rams are a high school football team)
This album is pure genious. It has stood the test of time. It's been 12 years and I still listen to it regularly. If I had to pick any one album to have for the rest of my life. This would be it.
^^^^^
This album is so good
i love the song Red to Black
This album is probably my favorite album of all time. Mike takes real world emotions and feelings and packs them into a 16 track album. If I didn't know who Mike Shinoda or Linkin Park was I would still love this album.
This is the best album I've ever heard. It's worth the money because when they rap, you basically leave life and picture what they are rapping because its so descriptive and great. And it's a great rap, they don't rap just to make no sense, they tell a story line in their raps and that's what I love about them. If I could I would give this album over 5,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 not take all that and multiply it buy infinity, and that's my rating of this album.
I've listend to rap ever since 80's and from all that listening I can say that rap has lost the message. It's all about banging hoes, dealing drugs, and killing people. What ever happened to the old days where rap had a message? Well, this album has a message where very few rap albums do. ALL rap music has repetative beats, from NAS to BIggie, all the way up to new artists. It's a mainstay of the genre. Rap is supposed to be about the message not bragging about how tough you are. So, Fort Minor brought a message back into rap and that I like. The album takes me back to a modernized form of old school. Shinoda may not be a Tupac, but he brought back what Tupac's rap was about.
It reminds me of my life it makes me cry
Good
I freakin love M. Shinoda! He's a natural poet and artist. And he really needs to make another FM album!!
I listen to this song before I lift and before basketball games
Best hip hop album of all time
Awesome cd have had it for years but Itunes randomly edited it and now random lyrics of the song Kenji an few other songs are edited out.
I LOVE Remember the Name. It is definately worth $11
I have to be honest, so far I have only listened to remember the name (sorry) but it’s absolutely fire. I have listened to it so much I could sing even without background music 🤙✌️
I love how he uses GarageBand loops from the Mac
i can`t say much that hasn`t already been said but i will say that while remember the name is awesome i find myself can`t but listen to kenji, cigarettes and right now cigarettes more so as it expresses my feelings bout the rap community as i don`t much care for most rap there are exceptions (j Dilla and others of that same vein) but the whole album is great
Sweet song! (WARNING: Song can contain swears!)
i always loved Linkin Park's rap/rock/electronic style, and since they're my favorite band, i decided to check out this album. mike is an awesome rapper, and it really shows here. my top 2 are cigarettes and red to black. buy this now.
He's right.
i remember hearing remember the name on MTV back in '05 when i was 8, man still sick 8 years later
MIKE SHINODA!!!!! Please come back as a solo rapper...plzzzzzzzzzz!
Mike does amazing on this album
I love this song.makes me remember a good time on my life
This is the music that pumped me up, for years. People will remember my name, Dalton Allan Krueger.
#1 rap song in the universe
All are amazing but remember the name is my favorite
:D
Pure Epicness
I love Fort minor and "Remember the Name" is the best!!!
This song is cool
This album has been out since 2005 and People are still loving the album in 2013. People have started loving Fort Minor. I love how M. Shinota chose to make a side band from linkin park for his wild fascination with rap/ hip hop. + if you have never heard of linkin park look em up!!
I heard that song from a movie somewhere but I can't remember! It's killing me! Where!?
It doesn't matter anymore what these Critics want. You tell them, tell everyone what you're fighting for its your words. I'll see your next album
The song where'd you go makes me cry😢
I found them thru pandora while listening to eminem and d12. Thats truly awesome they got a amazing road ahead of them to become the modern day n.w.a.
It is my favorite song out of the whole album . EPIC
The best music I have ever heard
If you love Mike's work in Linkin Park, this album is 100% just that. Through the years this album's content and sound have remained current. There's a mix of fast placed and slow songs. This will give you an intimate look into Mike's life and will remind you of how amazing his work is.
Great song I listen to it every night reminds me of the good days
This album has always been lit! 💋🔥💯
Awesome! This is really late
The content of this album alone makes it one of the best purchases I've ever made. Not only is it diverse, but it's real and gritty, and pulls at you in an in-your-face kinda way. The songs are diverse, so you don't have to worry about monotony if you buy the whole album. Mike Shinoda varies his sound a lot, and has a really great range of music on here. But perhaps the best way I could say it is this: If Shinoda were to put out another album like this, I would buy it in a heartbeat.
When Fort Minor originally came out I was super excited as I was disappointed with Linkin Park's drift from it's original melodies, thinking here we go Shinoda's going to brink it back to the grittier roots. Then I heard the hit Where'd You Go and was deflated. More of the same pop "radio music". Now some 12-13 years later, thanks to Youtube suggestions I came across Remember the Name, thought this is great, found the rest of the album and was blown away. Literally. Every. Song. Is. Great. I bought it within 24 hours, and I'm really selective on what I buy. This is rap with a story and creative beats (even if sometimes a tad repetitive), rather than made up words and lathered-on-thick urban speak just to make things rhyme and fulfill some fake "authenticity" that's really just a factory-made image that sells. And Shinoda actually wrote the music and lyrics? Guy deserves every penny for the album. GIVE ME MOAR FORT MINOR.
